Goal scoring debuts

With Whitehall netting on his league debut I thought it must have been quite a while since we had a striker who did just that.

I was wrong! It was only six months ago. Gerry McDonagh V Barnet.

I’m sure Bobby G or some other statto can provide a list.

The one I remember was Guy Ipoua against Brighton (I think)!

Sure Beckford did? He looked completely without confidence missed a few chances then scored a tap in and never looked back.

And I’m pretty sure Mirfin got sent off on his? Away at Walsall?

And Ipoua’s was against Bournemouth now I’ve had a chance to think about it!

Reagan Ogle scored on his debut alas it was only a friendly, rare as rocking horse shite with him.

Likewise Paterson scored against Sunderland in a friendly. Although he went on to have a better goal return.

Yep I think you’re right there on both counts DSGM…remember being in the away end for Mirfs red card and it was something stupid like 10 minutes into the game!
