Are you lot prepared to pay his contract up or do expect Mr Hilton to do that? Find it strange when all show empathy for Scunny staff when maybe going to be made redundant, and yet show none when it’s the manager.

Awaywego, you’re boring now. Dean isn’t very good due to being tactically inept. Plods forward with this one formation which doesn’t suit the current players, everybody else can see it hasn’t worked and yet he still keeps playing it.

You can tell the players don’t want to play for him.

    Deans current managerial form

Last 28 matches in NLN won 10, Drawn 6 and lost 12, gaining 36 points with a points per match ratio of 1.29. So all in all “including this shit show while he’s been here.”

Dean has overseen 41 matches won 13, drawn 8 and lost 20 gathering 47 points. 47 points out of a potential 123 points.

The stats are there to prove it, he just isn’t very good. I suspect he found his managerial level at NLN. Even at NLN level he hardly pulled up any trees.

When Nelson was here we were 5 points from safety and now we’re 11 points from safety. We have declined ever since he took over from Nelson.

    The stats don’t lie awaywego.

Today for instance when he toom Shrimpton off, rather than having a half a braincell and bringing shields on to put him left, Wilson on the right and moving Elliot next to Bennett, he leaves Elliot out wide and sticks an equally worse target man on so we end up with 2 shite lumps up front.

Please make that make sense. This is what you get with Dean and the fact he’s not learning is that he’s just not tactically minded.

GO GO GO GO GO GO GO !!!!

‘Stay. Prove yourself over ten games with your own players picked carefully and moulded as your team.’
I remember Adkins being slated just before we squeezed into Lge 1 playoffs … and promotion. I remember Russ breaking that record, winning promotion and being slated. Laws gave us years of entertainment and built the Adkins team .. and is still despised by some. The list of Managers not fit for purpose is longer than the years that some posters have been in long trousers. Dean needs 10 games next season to show us he has it. Hilton needs our support. I don’t want a knee jerk Chairman again. Some stability and loyalty a la Wharton.
    Stay.

Here’s an idea then. Dean can serve the beers in the Iron Bar and the bar staff can pick the team!

Judging him on his time in charge This guy is absolutely useless !!!!!!

If he’s had no say on players brought in or the chairman has overstepped then he needs to say it… I found his post match comments regarding recruitment not being good enough and needing to be able to do things his way interesting!

As things stand I have to say…
Get rid or we will be nothing but mediocre next season in a league this size club just should not be in.

    He’s shown Zero tactical knowledge
And Can’t see good players and their best positions…
whitehouse let go on loan and Butterfield ineffective playing a basic CM role

I see no Green shoots of recovery from his set ups and the way his teams play.

I’d hate him to be shaping next years squad because I don’t think he’ll be around after 15/20 games (because he’s not good enough) then we’ve wasted a key transfer window and we are on the back foot again!!

I’ve said the same. This is my biggest worry.

Fair enough these might not all be his own players but he wanted Elliot, Bennett, Rance and Sembie Ferris in because he’s admitted to it. Ok so give him free reign to sign another 10+ players but the big question mark I have is that he’s not utilized what he’s had since he’s came in very well at all.

This fascination on that 4/2/3/1 formation has been a big reason why we’ve gone down. The formation looks like it doesn’t suit the players, everybody else sees it just doesn’t work and yet he persists with it.

Any manager worth his salt looks at what he’s got and plays a system which best suits the players he has at his disposal. Nelson took 3/4 games to devise a system but least it worked and we had a clear identity. I find it mind blowing that he’s kept going down the same route even though it’s not really worked since he’s been here.

Will a whole squad of his players suddenly solve his shortcomings as a manager?

I don’t think so, it’s the complete lack of tactical awareness which bothers me. You can also throw questionable man management skills into the post as well because if he had good man management skills he’d have spotted that this formation he keeps playing doesn’t work.

IMO Hilton has already said there needs to be redundancies and streamlining and there will be some hard decisions to be made .. i get that and agree but surely after doing this in the offices and non playing staff such has been the new mangers poor showing he must be contemplating JD position.

Without a doubt just about all the current players should go keep max 2 or 3 only , a summer recruitment drive like no other is needed my issue is that if JD gonna do this it could be mid way through next season before hes sacked and we are in another relegation fight .. im not sure what league is below NLN but we may well end up there.

I get the impression Hilton isnt daft , he must put his hands up and recognize JD has been shite thus admit HIS gamble to bring JD and a rush of signings has failed miserably.. as a business owner the buck stops with him and hes the one that can change it.

Sad day ..but most pretty much knew it was coming despite dreaming of a miracle which was never gonna happen with such a disjointed melting pot of sub standard uninterested talent. The only decent signing since the take over has been Chappo the rest pure dog mess…

Allowing Dean the summer to sign his own players is a potential disaster. His in depth knowledge of players will be limited largely to NLN and below, how will that produce a team likely to progress? IF(?) we’re paying Rance £1500/week that would suggest to me that players might be coming here for a good payday rather than wanting to play for The Iron, which is the kind Dean wants according to what he said.

Your stats lie WG, Peterborough have played 16 games now since Dean left (please check) and have played 43 games altogether that means Dean was in charge for 27 games 36 points 1.34 per game. Most would agree that his Peterborough team have had a meteoric achievement and holding their own in NLN this season is massive.

If you look at the PS team that came up it’s mainly ex- Peterborough and Boston United players. they won’t be cheap compared to what Stamford(who got promoted yesterday), Spalding and lower down Yaxley and Deeping can offer…How did they get where they are, on crowds of 200-300, no surprise is there..

Margetts been rattling goals in right left and centre for spalding this season. Top scorer in the division i think, finally managed to get over his injuries and keep himself fit.
