Idiotic post, with the clowns he has to chose from you expect results? A few promising youngsters led by awful senior pros and you expect results,
His big problem is that he has crap players

Playing Whitehall in midfield show’s who the real clown is, square pegs round holes.

Telling us that because we’ve got Beck doesn’t mean we’re going to play hoof ball but then plays hoof ball to Beck for 90mins.

And just to confirm the “no hoof ball” claim he signs another 6’+ forward.

There’s another position on the pitch – which – if memory serves, was called ‘the winger.’ Usually smallish, quick and tricky, they used to head towards the by-line and cross a ball into the six yard box and would often cause mayhem.
Anyone have recollections of this now extinct breed of footballer?

Hate calling for a managers head, but today felt like a breaking point.

It feels inevitable we will tumble down the league by the new year.

He sounded defensive, bullish and when he said everyone has an opinion when asked about the fans questioning him at the end of the match, well that probably suggests a siege mentality from AB. I don’t think he is in a very good place , his Dad’s illness isn’t an excuse but maybe he’s thinking he has to be strong minded and stick to his guns to get him through a bad time right now but he sounded to be struggling to me in that Humberside interview.

All he keeps saying is either “we’re going to improve or we can and will improve”. Hearing that constantly now post match for the last 2 months. Butler hasn’t a clue and with what he’s going through with his Dad, he needs paying up and have the pressure taken off him because it’s clearly too much for him to handle. Clearly can’t handle it and lacks the know how.

That today was shameful. Don’t even get me started on that dreaded formation and where he was playing certain players. Butler clearly won’t/can’t learn and really needs sacking off now.

Jackie Marriott and Mervyn Jones, iirc, from the 1950s., were proper wingers.

Tbh lesgeo the SUFC interview is lame. Only RH one is worth a listen as they do actually ask a question that may ruffle a feather.

Those SUFC interviews might as well be a Nirth Korean press officer interviewing Kim Jon Il, offers no challenge whatsoever.

I’ve always supported Butler, it was getting harder by the day and listening to RH they were very damning of the whole situation. The players have to take some responsibility but everybody knows the movement out of the club isn’t the players it’s the manager. If he cannot see what is in front of his eyes then I feel for him because he will lose his job in the not too distant future. The players are an absolute disgrace btw but the tactics worse still.

The theme of the questions are easily set by RH.
Torpey has been impressed as much as us listening to him. Both of the commentators aren’t impressed at all.
And to be then waiting for 70mins for an interview isn’t great neither.

The OWS interview is a waste of time.

Some folk struggle when they gain positions of a higher grade. It’s about management and that includes yourself.

For clarity I meant the OWS interview, I think Olly asks good probing questions (I didn’t make that clear enough) .

You were clear IA and you are right it’s great that pressing questions need asking. Saying that the answers are squirmed out of.

Love it when managers get put on the spot. You sense the air.
That’s why one was possibly hoping RH had packed their bags and gone home after awaiting 70 mins.
Good on RH for the staying power.

Narcissistic? – The Needs of the Many (Supporters) Outweigh The Needs of the Few (Management Team)

Unbelievable levels of arrogance, zero evidence of learning, detached from reality, desperately clinging to non-existent positives and most worryingly to quote Butler, ‘Im doing exactly what I need to do, I won’t approach it differently’. If the manager won’t approach it differently after the shite we witnessed yesterday, then that just leaves the board to take a different approach, one which involves a P45 and an advert in the shop window for a new gaffer.

That contract extension looks a bit ill timed now!

That wasn’t a contract extension he was offered, it was an actual written contract he was offered. Those first 7 games he was in charge before he signed his contract was via a verbal agreement.

Makes it all the more annoying because if Michelle had waited a little while longer he would have been so easy and cheap to get rid of.
