Just reading up on Saturdays opposition – hadn’t realised Ben Richards Everton was there now.
Just rewatched his debut goal for Scunny on Youtube. Great corner from Butters met with a really strong header from BRE – I hope Jimmy has shown that one back to our defence! :)
Hope we see another clean sheet and a hatful of goals for the Iron – but to be honest I’d take a 1-0. UTI
November 9, 2023 at 4:41 pm #276551Yes it looks like being another 3 points in the bag, but it does not always happen that way.
But surely the way that our lads are playing, I cannot see any other outcome, they are now on top of their game, and playing some very good football.I am looking for a 4-0 win in a game that probably should be more, I am hoping that the guys pepper the Gloucester goal, and shoot on site, it should be a good match for our fans to witness.
I would think that the attendance should be between 4,100 and 4,250, so lets go for 4,180.
Good look and enjoy the game you fans.
November 9, 2023 at 5:38 pm #276555It’ll take a big step for us to start averaging 4,000+ unless away sides bring quite a few.
November 9, 2023 at 5:47 pm #276557With the team on such a current high and the different offers in place for this game, plus it’s rememberance day which might bring a few bugle fans in, I’ll be disappointed if we don’t top 4000.
November 9, 2023 at 7:35 pm #276562When will the board listen to the fans and move the away fans somewhere else and let home fans have both ends of the ground. Gloucester at the moment have sold one ticket.

Common sense really, why spread 3,500 home fans out across 4 stands rather 3? Place would look empty.
Moody also explained to someone on Twitter that the cluggy corner doesn’t have the facilities at the moment to host away fans exclusively.
November 9, 2023 at 9:00 pm #276567They’re in awful form and we’re hitting our stride now with the added bonus of playing at home. I think 3-1 win. Whitehall, Scales and Laws the scorers.
You never know, Roberts may even score one !
November 9, 2023 at 9:34 pm #276569Can you clarify what you mean by ‘bugle fans’ I-A?
November 9, 2023 at 10:50 pm #276576Can you clarify what you mean by ‘bugle fans’ I-A?
No but I will be there wearing my poppy with pride hope you will be too DM.
November 9, 2023 at 11:08 pm #276577Not the slang definition of ‘bugle’ then. That’s a relief!
November 10, 2023 at 9:20 am #276578The thought of over 4000 people snorting the last post through their noses never crossed my mind DM, I hope the minutes silence is fully respected and we all reflect in that minute how lucky we all are to be here because of our past fallen heroes.
November 10, 2023 at 10:02 am #276580Lighten up – you usually advocate humour.
November 10, 2023 at 10:10 am #276581The thought of over 4000 people snorting
As much as they like to say it doubt we’ll get 4000 of the Stone Island mob in alongside the regular fans.

November 10, 2023 at 10:14 am #276582My point was about ‘bugle fans’ being out in force – think we’ve got enough of them already. I thought it was mildly amusing. Nothing more and nothing to do with Remembrance before the poppy police start wetting themselves accusing me of disrespect.
November 10, 2023 at 10:22 am #276584Remain light DM, you won’t be accused of anything you already aren’t.
November 10, 2023 at 11:23 am #276586Likewise
November 10, 2023 at 11:28 am #276588Off to Darlo tomorrow with my Chester mate.
Give me a chance to check out our Trophy opposition, although I expect Chester to win comfortably.
Also expect us to have a straightforward victory against Gloucester, although after 60+ years of watching the Iron I’ve learned that nothing is straightforward!
3-1
November 10, 2023 at 11:47 am #276589Beware of this being our ‘banana skin’ game.
This could be our toughest game so far this season, has warnings written all over – 1 club in top 3 and 1 in the bottom 2 ! So many will have written Gloucester off so we need to be more motivated than ever and show Gloucester City total respect.
November 10, 2023 at 1:58 pm #276590What’s it got do with looks Cliff,( though I like it better when a reasonable amount of fans are in all stands) footballers like kicking towards the home fans so better we were in both. We’re supposed to be struggling for money so can’t be cost effective to segregate especially tomorrow probably cost over £150 for a couple of stewards catering personal and a gate man, surely at times they can be accommodated in the main stand, or the directors box if only one person turns up, give him a shout out introduce him to us on the pitch make his day.
November 10, 2023 at 2:05 pm #276591Off the radar recently as been on a rural Isan expedition to buy a rubber plantation and suffice to say …..WOW been a lot going on whilst ive been away , seems SUFC playing well and scoring plenty of goals since the last game i recall was the terrible Chester away fixture.
I noticed players going out on loan but without trawling through numerous threads can someone gimme an update how things are off the pitch re GP and directors etc… i trust Mr Hilton has returned all the season ticket , sponsorship and 1899/100 club loot.Back in the metropolis so as for tomorrow hoping for another home win and a big attendance though this is a possible banana skin as previously mentioned.
3-2 Scunny win
Att 5,188November 10, 2023 at 2:06 pm #276592Can’t see it sanfran, don’t get me wrong no match in this league is a guaranteed win but at home with a near full strength squad in form, I really can’t see us losing and they are really not very good.
November 10, 2023 at 2:15 pm #276593Just a bit of info for you IFA it looks like it will be there last game for Nuneaton tomorrow, kicked out their ground and got no money, if only all them Leicester fans turned up every week for them lol.

Aye i recall the ground was a tad rough and a mud bath of a pitch made a proper mess of my trainers n jeans that day….still sad to see any football club go.
November 10, 2023 at 2:22 pm #276595I’ve been supporting the Iron since the early 80’s and have learnt over that time to never take a match for granted. That said, looking at recent form (https://thefishy.co.uk/formtable.php?table=22) this *should* be a reasonably comfortable home win.

Not happening, not a chance they play like Boston/Buxton they are on the same points as Darlington absolutely shocking form!
Be like Bishops Stortford

November 10, 2023 at 11:04 pm #276614Iron 4-1 (Toothless) Tigers
November 11, 2023 at 10:06 am #276623Last minute rush by Gloucester fans 18 tickets sold now, at least we shouldn’t lose money accommodating them now.
November 11, 2023 at 10:40 am #276627Respect to the 18 or so.
6 hour round trip by road or 9 hours or so by train.
Giving up most of your Saturday and parting with a decent wadge of cash when you have little hope of much joy. Showing the love for their club.
