    Don’t forget we need a plot for when the circus comes to town if Hilton is developing the car park at Gp. As aside Deerey never mentioned at the time about top end of Ashby ville just the speedway track area.

    How will this all unravel?

    1) 25/01/23 – https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/january/club-statement/ (“Mr Hilton said: “I’m pleased to say the takeover has now been completed, and the deal includes the football club, stadium and surrounding land.”).

    2) 07/04/23 – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmPr9RIiKyA (Hilton confident a deal for GP and surrounding land will be done).

    I would be highly surprised if Peter Swann had sold his shareholding in Scunthorpe United FC without there being a clause within the sale agreement stating that Hilton must either purchase the freehold (stadium, land and naming rights) or at the very least, commit to a long term lease. Assuming I am right, I think the ball is well and truly back in Swann’s court now.

    How can a club so skint it’s was going to scrap trainnees and bin staff to run us from axl Sunday league club office suddenly afford new land? Signs are cheap though
