Jake Eastwood with almost zero league experience didn’t do too badly for us, so let’s give him a chance. Anyone to help keep Watson away from the starting lineup is a plus in my eyes!

I have asked Coventry fans who follow me on Twitter and they say he is a future number 1 there, and out of a dozen fans nobody slagged him off, he has played one Cup game v Gillingham but highly rated by Mark Robins and he has just been to Spain with the first team, and they say he is their tallest keeper.

Cox did say he had to wait as he was away with his team, good look to him, if he’s as good as our last man on loan from Coventry he will be more than alright.

Coventry fans really rate him. One Coventry said that they had a keeper of a similar age play for them in Lee Burge who turned out to be one of the best keepers in their division at the time and according to him Billson is better than him already.

If that’s anything to go by, we’re in the money here. I’ve seen him described as a very vocal, commanding GK who’s a very, very good shot stopper.

Played fantastically well for their u21’s last season and has been in and around their first time for a while now.

Pleased with this signing. No doubt a player with experience would have been more ideal but nobody had really heard of Dean Henderson before he starred for Shrewsbury.

You just never know.

If we can sign Perry or any another ball playing central midfield player, A wide player and possibly another striker on loan, we’ll be in fairly good shape.

We can’t surely have three keepers on the books if we’re shelving the U23s.

Smudger did say a little while ago that Watson was going to make way for another GK so going by that don’t be surprised if Watson’s moved on.

His attitude has always seemed to spot on but I can’t imagine having another GK come in is going to do Watson’s morale any favours. Be worth sending him out on loan for his benefit and ours with the option of being recalled.

No offence to Watson but he’s never been good enough anyway. I suspect he’ll be leaving on loan to the conference.

Smudger did say a loan keeper was coming in to replace Watson 2 or 3 weeks ago. I think the other loanee coming in is a striker.

I think there’s enough in the budget to sign Perry. The other loanee is already agreed according to Cox so I suppose we’ll use Watson’s saved wage to sign another wide player, maybe the one we have on trial.

Presuming he’s cheap enough and not a trouble causer I’d keep Watson to sit on the bench before releasing him at the end of the year.

Much more long term benefit to us in sending Collins out on loan and getting him some first team football.

Wait & see if he’s any good but a very experienced keeper is not the ideal choice for a club that’s likely to be fighting to stay in the league.
