Closer than he is to being a footballer!!
March 11, 2023 at 2:47 pm #257072We didn’t need two target men and Bennett for me from what I’ve seen is the much better player both technically and in the air. Just hope Barrow don’t recall him before the end of the season, bye Gerry just probably not what was required here after all, best of luck though.
March 11, 2023 at 2:51 pm #257075So 2 spaces then.

Gez playing for the Spitfires.
Joe playing for the Latics.0-0 at moment.
March 11, 2023 at 10:35 pm #257105Maybe Dean didn’t think we needed 3 target men because now Carver is back he can play second fiddle to Bennett who looks the best of the 3 by quite some distance.
Might now release some funds for another CM player which Hilton mentioned the other day when Bunker was recalled.
March 12, 2023 at 2:31 am #257113contract mutually terminated …. obviously prefers to play football or doesnt like bowling !!
March 12, 2023 at 3:37 am #257114Shame quite liked him
March 12, 2023 at 4:44 am #257115did not see enough of him to form any opinion though he did take his goal well against Barnet.
Bunker gone Gerry gone … probably not the last of the newbies to leave ( ?? maybe next) and some of the old guard as well Taft ? Rowe ?
March 12, 2023 at 10:31 am #257121Not the time yet to let players leave, matches coming thick and fast, sure to pick up injuries, while there is still a chance keep the squad together. A couple of new additions would be nice , striker and experienced midfielder if there is any one available,. McDonagh played ninety minutes for Eastleigh so got match fitness here, bunker, match fit and ready to go got four minutes,a really good prospect given his age, gave his best while here, good luck to him.
March 12, 2023 at 10:37 am #257122Just had a look on Wiki:-

March 12, 2023 at 10:41 am #257125A bit of a traveller in him
March 12, 2023 at 11:16 am #257129Best goals per game/games ratio whilst with us.
March 12, 2023 at 11:22 am #257132A massive 13 goals in 8 years is nowt to be writing home about mind!
March 13, 2023 at 6:44 am #257193Best of luck to him, Bennett is better IMO. A few talking about another midfielder? Really? Not for me, we have plenty in that department bearing in mind only 5 subs in this league, I would go with what we have at the moment, if we must bring more in then a striker for me but how many prolific goal scorers are going to be available at this stage of the season?
March 13, 2023 at 9:19 am #257197What happened to the rule about not playing for more than 2 clubs in a single season? I’m surprised he can play for Eastleigh.

March 13, 2023 at 12:14 pm #257210This is the FIFA rule, so I’m still a bit confused how this is allowed:
Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season.
During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for
two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs
belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in
summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official
matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully
complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. -
