NYE fixture announcements are mad ,the lack of explanation is insulting to fans .That this lack of communication is from a club that’s been living off the good will of fans is a joke

July 20, 2024 at 12:14 pm #288408I hope it’s played in an empty stadium,Iron fans deserve better, perhaps they plan on doing a tear jerking video to explain
July 20, 2024 at 1:53 pm #288415Don’t forget the sky’s going orange/ red when Lysaghts slag ladles were being tipped, often coincided with a home goal going in.
I misread that, I thought you said LADIES!!

July 20, 2024 at 2:55 pm #288419Who else is playing NYE then Mick?
July 20, 2024 at 4:14 pm #288426Kiddie’s says the date change was at Scunthorpes request.
July 21, 2024 at 7:06 am #288456It’s bad enough the Club moving the game to New Years Eve but why are the Club being so secretive about why they have done it.
All that the Fans have done and still are doing to save our Club and then they are ignored when asking for a reason for this change.July 21, 2024 at 9:17 am #288461What a load of moaning sods you are.People have given time money and effort to keep the club alive and some of you still abuse them because you don’t like one decision that’s been made.

July 21, 2024 at 10:25 am #2884703pm?
July 21, 2024 at 10:40 am #288471Yes
July 21, 2024 at 10:44 am #288472Seems at least a bit daft to have a 15:00 kick off on a work day NYE.
It would be crazy to schedule an evening kick off.
Perhaps the Welsh don’t celebrate NYE.
July 21, 2024 at 11:43 am #288473Sure we played Bolton NYE away a few years ago. Can’t recall any problem then and we took over a 1,000 there
July 21, 2024 at 12:27 pm #288476Was a Saturday though CBRP.
As for saving the club seen the film, read the book, it’s done and dusted it’s not a get out of jail card to be used forever.1 user thanked author for this post.
July 22, 2024 at 4:38 am #288489On a slightly different tack – I would be able to get to many more games if we had regular 1pm kick offs.
I don’t really expect the club to arrange this just to make my life work a bit better. Mind you …July 22, 2024 at 4:53 am #288490I wonder id SUFC would be up for moving some fixtures to Thailand ?? Nong Bua Pitchaya Stadium close to my gaff up North when not in Bangkok ..has Abo Eisa been sent to test this huge marketing networking possibility ?? ..MAYBE NOT 5555555
July 23, 2024 at 9:17 am #288524They’re supposed to be putting out an explanation but having dealt with that James guy before I doubt he gives a toss
July 23, 2024 at 11:28 am #288527The Kidderminster game is an evening kick-off. Not my preference but not an outrageous decision.
A game on New Year’s Eve at 3pm is a good idea I reckon, lots of people are off work anyway, can use the game as the starting point of their NYE celebrations, rather than being dragged out of their beds on New Year’s Day. I agree that a bit of explanation of the thinking behind the change would be good but I don’t think it’s a terrible idea, personally.

It is a terrible idea, it’s very much a standard working day for many. Some people have a lot of Friday’s off, shall we start moving games to 3pm on a Friday too?

I wouldn’t be in the least surprised to see that happen, and not too far off either.

Yes, let’s take a perfectly reasonable decision, one which has been clearly explained by the club giving good reasons, and just make up something nonsensical.
FWIW, I’m self-employed so I don’t get paid days off at any point, not even bank holidays, but you won’t hear me being outraged about this.
July 23, 2024 at 3:05 pm #288538Some people like being outraged just for the sake of being outraged, just get on with it.
July 23, 2024 at 3:09 pm #288539It’s better to dismiss as outrage then admit there’s a a real issue

Oh dear, somebody else that didn’t share your opinion?
I didn’t say he was wrong. He would have been if he disagreed with me on anything ,I said he doesn’t care. The statement proves that.
