I cannot get remotely exited about signing a fullback from a non-league club.

We need a goalscoring forward,somebody who can put the ball in the net within the 6 yard and 18 yard boxes.

You might as well blow the whole of a small budget on a striker who hits the net regular.

Goals win games and any team which scores regularly can carry players who may not be the best but try, or those low on confidence.

The whole club needs to move forward at this time, one of the lowest of moments in the clubs history.

Goals and goalscorers lift teams and clubs. Thomas, Cammack, Flounders, Daws, Sharp, Hooper.

Have we learned anything from our past?

We had one who scored goals from outside the 18 yd box, but he got injured so we didn’t renew his contract.

Been saying for years we need a fox in the box. Then again, so will everyone else. And if we can’t afford a mediocre right-back then we’ll be starting the season with Loft, Jarvis and Turan up top!
