What an effin joke this club has become.
From the stupid name of the past-it stadium, to the fact we’ve had our assets nicked, to the p*ss poor management to the laughable team.
And don’t get me started on the fat man!
Mullered 4-0 at home by a team who’d only won once before this season. For f*ck’s sake Swann, get gone. Just f*ck off.

September 11, 2021 at 6:31 pm #213488I have tried my level best to take an optimistic view. My mistake.
Pessimists are never really disappointed.1 user thanked author for this post.
September 11, 2021 at 6:52 pm #213491Can only see it getting worse.
Firstly I Expect a passive aggressive ‘ club statement’ with Swann pleading with supporters to come back.
Once winter sets in and the club is cut off adrift with 2/3 other teams, gates will fall below 2,000.
There is no way we will strengthen in a January transfer window again and with the state of this lot will be relegated by March.
Even worse season ticket sales next year- probably below 1,000- and the club will find a level somewhere in the mid/lower reaches of the conference.
At this point it matters little to Swann whether we continue trading as a football club.
The writing was on the wall when we lost the ground.

The writing was on the wall from the moment Swann obtained enough shares to do whatever he wanted unopposed.4 users thanked author for this post.
September 11, 2021 at 7:11 pm #213495Stelling must be wetting himself laughing when he looks at the clubs results and the steady decline since his chat with the chairman.
Our decline really is sad and I cant see a way out of it because the current regime isn’t working, the new players are really no better than last year on the showing so far, andfans are back so Covid can’t be blamed now.
I don’t think you can even blame young players, there are plenty around as young as ours, and at all levels, “if they are good enough, they are old enough”. Nigel even used to go on about how young his squad was and we did OK with them.
Which ever way you look at it the mess we are in is down to inadequate management both on and off the field, most views on this board (apart from two posters) tend to agree on this.4 users thanked author for this post.

September 12, 2021 at 6:42 pm #213590Thank God for Swann, Stelling said we were wrong to get rid of Wilcox so early. Really Jeff nice one.

The writing was on the wall at that moment – I thought sacking Wilcox was a bad decision at the time and the reaction to media criticism of that decision was also concerning.

September 13, 2021 at 3:02 pm #213624From the stupid name of the past-it stadium,
I agree with the stupid name but I don’t believe GP to be past it. In need of TLC? Of course. Could benefit from a few new features (bigger bar, better seats, etc.)? Undoubtedly. But past it? Not having it.

September 13, 2021 at 4:25 pm #213627I think you’re all misunderstanding Poundland Ambramovich’s initial statement when he became owner.
He said we will be playing at a new stadium – we are, the SVS!
He said we’d see attacking football – we do, from the opposition!
He said we’d be playing in the Championship – I think he has us on track to play in the Premier League, albeit the Northern Premier League!All-in-all, If your surname is Swann then his tenure has been a raging success…
