To be fair it’s pretty much on par with the last few managers we’ve had!

I’ve stopped blaming the managers. Almost identical complaints about ’em all.
Gotta assume that they have all been trying to learn how to herd cats.

And like for like with Nelson? your manager of choice,Please bare in mind Nelson had Laverey at his best,

Nelson had to manage against Notts, Chesterfield twice and Woking all at the top of the league. No Lavery against Halifax and Bromley. That team was almost immediately deemed not good enough by the new management and 50% of the players dropped or loaned out. Aside from 2 games, Wrexham and Notts away Deans team have played against similar dross teams to us and not got results.

Did you forget about Barnet, Eastleigh, Boreham Wood and Daghenham? With Notts and Wrexham that’s 5 out the 7 playoff places and Daghenham were there or there abouts when we played them.

There is no comparison Nelson to Dean.

Nelson had a mess to sort out. He did that while bringing in stability, a balanced set up and improved confidence despite losing players on what seemed a weekly basis. Dean had all that sorted for him – so he has performed poorly.

Messrs Hilton and/or Dean have loaned or got rid of players and replaced with some that would rank highly in the ‘Will Swann Book of inadequates’ – what an achievement !!!

Of course there are comparisons to be made between Nelson and Dean they have records there to be compared chuck Hill into the Equation and he had the best start of all, so what can we pick from that besides sod all, were we not all well happy with Hills first 7 games did we not all think he was going to save us after beating Oldham on boxing day?

So (and apologise if this has already been covered), how much say did Jimmy Dean have in the recruitment of all those new players? They don’t seem at all loyal to him!

We had a shed load of nonentities in the January window, just wondered who chose them. If it was Hilton, then perhaps it is no surprise that they are not seeming to play for Dean.

Hilton said that if Jimbob said no, then it was NO.

Further evidence as he didn’t do that great in NLN towards the back end of his time there. Peterborough sports have actually achieved better results since he came here.

Last 28 matches in NLN won 10, Drawn 6 and lost 12, gaining 36 points with a points per match ratio of 1.29. So all in all “including this shit show while he’s been here.”

Dean has overseen 41 matches won 13, drawn 8 and lost 20 gathering 47 points. 47 points out of a potential 123 points.

    Wow.

Hey WGs you just trying to cheer us all up with statistics like that .. ive been keeping an eye on Peterboro Sports and they are winning more often than not.
As i commented on another thread if JD cant get results and things dont go well im sure Hilts bin him sooner rather than later.
We may well be 20 points clear at the top of the NLN table this time next year !! .. sorry ive been on the local moonshine again.

Don’t think your hearing what I’m saying, I just want to give him a fair crack of the whip, but will defend his record on like for like, did the same when Wilcox’s achievement was questioned by WG (still didn’t admit you were wrong WG) do I berate him at matches you bet, the corners get me, leaves no one on the halfway line Gateshead were taking the piss and left 2 up top, on one corner we had all 11 behind the penalty spot, like for like subs, formations, need I say more, probably IA is the same. I will judge him next season after 10 games with his new players.

    He appears to lack:-
An ability to learn from his mistakes.
    An ability to motivate.
    Tactical nous.
    Imagination and innovation.
Managerial experience at the level needed.
If he sorts himself out then he might also be able to sort the players out, but doing the same unsuccessful things over and over again won’t win over the fans or retain the owner’s support. No point getting rid now but I think your 10 games next season would have to be the limit if we don’t see signs that he can learn and adapt.

Just done the maths for Dean at Peterborough this season 27 lge games 36 pts equals 1.34 points per game, since he left 15 lge games 20pts 1.34 points per game, fail to see where they’ve actually achieved better results that WG says.

Consequently he lost his job and has since failed to find another, RH excepted.
Maybe Jimmy should take note of that?

Dean just isn’t good enough and has been found out. Awaywego keeps claiming he’ll do better with his own players but he can’t correctly manage the one’s he’s got now.

Tactically he’s the worst we’ve had in charge. Dean keeps playing a formation which doesn’t suit the players he’s got, while everybody in the stands knows it doesn’t work.

What makes you think because he get’s his own players that will ever change ?. Those are his shortcomings.

No I don’t claim he will do better with his own players WG, I just said he should be given a fair crack of the whip which he will be if Hilton is still here nothing more nothing less. Ps Dean at Peterborough 27 league games 36 points equals 1.34pts per game, since he left 16 league games 21points equals 1.31pts per game lol.

You’re clearly a wind up merchant, Awaywego. The fact is he isn’t good enough and the stats prove it. Dean wasn’t that great in NLN either.

Only problem is Awaywego, we let Dean draft all his own players in specifically to play this 4/2/3/1 formation and he tanks in the first quarter of next season we’ll be in deep shit.
