    Here you go:

    https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/may/club-statement/

Well after reading that .. i need another stiff drink

Pugh & Rance yes – Whitehouse no! Unbelievable Jeff!!

WTF .. Rance is a crock and done jack shit ti earn anew offer whilst Whitehouse is ripping at Chester… Jimmy knows best , gord help us.

Foster will end up going. I can’t see Butterfield staying either to be honest. Wilson I can understand because if we offer him a contract don’t we get a fee if a team comes in for him ?

Fecking Dean Rance, came injured and hardly played for the last team he was at due to injuries and yet he’s staying. I don’t understand that at all.

    Same here

We’d better hope that this injury will not hold him back next season.

In the good old days (whenever they were) players used to take out ‘injury policies’ to guarantee them a wage should they suffer an injury.
I’m guessing the same still occurs?
A wage and an insurance payment whilst injured.
    Lovely jubbly Rodney.

Even more unbelievable if that reported £1500 p.w. was right. Surely OTT for NLN.
WG – are you sure it wasn’t £150?

Couldn’t find my specs this morning, this is encouraging from SUFC twitter:-

    SUFC Club Shop @SUFCShop·

    🛍️👕🛒 ICYMI: SALE NOW ON!
The Iron’s 2022-23 match squad has now been reduced by up to 50% on remaining stock 👉 http://scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/april/up-to-50-off-all-remaining-2022-23 players.

    Will that attract any suitors?

Not sure about that. Player I know transfered from a (pyramid) step 10 club to step 8 and is getting paid £800 a week. So, step 6, a key player on £1,500 (offered less wages now?) doesn’t seem to unrealistic.

    Didn’t realise that L8 paid £40k p.a., thanks DM. I’m more of a £100 p.w. L1 maximimum sort of age.

It doesn’t, I think this was an exceptional case at a club with the funds. Though I might have misheard it and it was really £80 a week.

That was said by the Yeovil chairman but he then a day later deleted the tweet. Ask SST he read it himself. I don’t see why he would lie because Yeovil were in for Rance too.
