20 yr midfielder from Middlesbrough, describes himself as a box to box player. Spent 2nd half of last season with Hartlepool so already knows Ogle and Carver.

Nice to get another body in. How many midfielders do we now have ?

My first reaction is that another young midfielder is the one thing we already have an abundance of.

Wiki says he is 6ft 4in and made 14 appearances for Hartlepool from January onwards.

Keef switching to a team of giants?

Let’s hope he’s a young arse kicker in midfield, need a bit more strength particularly in this league. As with all new arrivals I will give him my full support and see how he gets on, welcome Isaac and best of luck young man.

Hope he’s better than the last 2 young MFs from there. Liddle & Hackney weren’t up to much so he’s got a chance, welcome anyway Isaac.
One concern – these young loanees from higher divisions normally move upwards as they progress.

Glad to see a body through the door but confused to why it’s not another centre back.

Hope he is not on a “guaranteed appearances” deal given he is from Middlesbrough. You have to suspect Hackney was given the number of starts he got without ever delivering much.

    The loan system needs ending.
Name another industry that ‘loans’ out their employees to smaller companies operating in the same sector.
The big boys just hoover up as many players as they like and farm them out to provincial clubs… just in case.

    Loan system needs ending?

Then how would the likes of MacLean, Cork, Lansbury, Yates, Toney to name a few thrive when they did with us?

Highly rated CM on loan and he doesn’t even come off the bench absolutely shocking… start him ahead of Gallimore/Beestin!

With the predicament we’re in we should only be signing players who can go straight into the starting 11 and make us better. Otherwise it just seems like padding out the squad for the sake of it.

So one month in to the season and we’re signing a young player to presumably replace one of the two midfielders signed in the summer. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for anyone is it?

Since Whitehouse and Butterfield dominated a poor Yeovil team on the opening day they don’t seem to have done too much. Only seen one of the subsequent games live though.

it just sums it up MKI, when if we win a game the opposition have to be a poor team.

To be fair they were utter shite that day. Whitehouse for some reason has been bench warming of late, not sure why. Has Hill gone off him already, or is it maybe down to fatigue ?

My gripe with that though is the fact that if he’s that fatigued, why is he even on the bench ?

I worry about Beestin. Apparently it can take years to fully recover from long COVID. If he is still poorly he shouldn’t be on the pitch!

    Butterfield replaced at HT.

Is this the injury we were waiting to happen?
