Best away run in in years (except BR) let’s hope were challenging one way or another.
Just knew Hartlepool away would be in winter!
I went from the University of Durham by ‘bus in 1969 or 1970. It was a cold, wet Friday night but we won.
It’s a shame that our last ever game as a football league club is away at Bristol Rovers
Derby and Wycombe fixtures interchangeable, nice one again EFL.

Unless they start the season in June Hartlepool away is always going to be in winter.
August?
Opening game of the 82/83 season and I took my newly wed bride to Victoria Park to witness a storming 0-0!
Close on forty years later and it remains the only ever Iron match she’s attended!
That lass of yours knew what she was doing NI, unlike the rest of us mugs. 😂
I had a similar experience NI. Took my wife to be to Loftus Road in 1963 to see Iron play QPR. She has not been to a football match since then.
Canny ladies these Bru wives – mine’s been once in 40 years. Even a win couldn’t persuade her to go again!
No there women and just don’t get it. Though there are a few rare breeds who do, good on um.

I went from the University of Durham by bus in 1999 or 2000. It was a cold, wet Friday night and it was postponed.
Hard luck, Ferrite! It’s cold up North.
Wet too Inspector, I think it was flooded off. I also went there from Scunny one Boxing Day in time for the match to be called off at 2pm for a frozen pitch.
That first time in 99/00 wasn’t all bad though – I popped into a pub for a pint before the bus home and it only cost 95p! That was 30p less than the student union! Result!
Our better halves are obviously more intelligent than us. Took Mrs MK to Chesterfield about 30 odd years ago. I promised she wouldn’t have to go 2 hours without a cigarette only to find smoking was banned in their old wooden main stand.
She moaned non stop about how poor the football was and not being able to smoke. I remember her asking why the players did not pass the ball to their own team very often.
Apart from a one off visit to the Wembley Orient game that was it for her.
Bristol Rovers away may not be the last game as a football league club. Just a hint of anyone at the club catching Covid and the chairman may use it as an excuse to shut up shop early. Anything Dover Athletic can do……
