Surely it’s wise to keep the players who’ve proved themselves here high wages or not.

Butler’s signings in the most are duffer’s. quality over quantity every time. Beck rumoured to be on £1500 a week, on paper a good signing, in reality a wage thief at the moment.

Come end ov the season and if we have failed in our promotion quest it will be interesting to see who stays n who departs especially those signed it those crazy days of Hiltonmania .. money over any loyalty for most im guessing, its a fact if there is a mass exodus it will more than likely leave us with a mountain to climb with a basic squad of averagness.

The board will be looking at new investment into the club and if we get promoted it becomes more urgent. Players are just like the rest of us, if they get offered more money for the same job elsewhere they will leave and who can blame them. As I’ve said before all this badge kissing and chest thumping is bollox it’s all about the money.

I doubt Michelle and the board would sanction busting the wage ceiling that was put in for new contracts, so I’m sure he’ll actually be on an amount that fits that, rather than what the rumour is suggesting.

Unlikely that we would have needed to increase his wages 2.5 times to tempt him even if we were in a position to pay that amount.

We didn’t tempt him from Darlo Cass he was at solihull, in turn they met the release clause for him and offered terms that was way beyond what Darlo could meet.
Then we got him, a club mid season wanting a goalscorer which I’m sure you’ll agree normally comes at a premium and paid a fee for him as well.
Don’t forget all that at darlo he was only part time so would hardly move to a fully professional club without it worth his while, anyway it’s only a rumour and maybe not £1500 but don’t be naive into to thinking it’ll be less than a grand a week.

The wages were published online recently, if you were fast enough to see them before they were removed. Beck was not listed amongst them, so the information came before he as signed. From the information you could see that the club is clearly sticking to its guns – and so he’ll be on something befitting the new wage structure, which will indeed be less than grand a week.

Given I don’t know what money Beck is on, awaywego, I wouldn’t assume anything. You do seem intent on pushing the high wage envelope though. I’d stick to facts and what we actually know rather than speculation and dubious X posts from anonymous sources tbh.

Think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick. I was merely countering what you’re suggesting based on unverifiable rumour. I’m not suggesting you shouldn’t post it, Just in my opinion, I wouldn’t trust it. I was slightly interested in where you’d got the 150k rumour from, so I asked.
