“Might well keep a few people quite tonight” what’s all that childish bollocks, most people have given honest opinion on the football of late and most are going to celebrate the win tonight, without being an happy clapper.
Seeing as your the expert on ” childish bollocks ” surely you should be more appreciative of such posts?
October 29, 2024 at 10:34 pm #292542Well done Scunny flipin typical not being able to make it tonight.
Hopefully follow up on Saturday.
Tops sounded more impressed than Saturday

October 29, 2024 at 10:37 pm #292543Great result and much better performance tonight
HOWEVER…… this is the perfect example of how awful a lot of the PART TIME & AMATEUR teams are at the level and why so many of us are fed up of the defensive/crap tactical approach employed all too often.
The reality is that this is not a difficult league!!
Especially when you’ve got this squad/facilities/fans etc…
A good manger will prove that… hopefully that’s Butler. One thing we’ll all agree on… if tonight starts a run that puts us clear at the top everyone will be happy because we all want the same thing even if our opinions on Butler/Tactics etc… differ
Go get promotion boys!!

October 29, 2024 at 10:43 pm #292545Nothing remotely childish or bollocks about III’s remark awaywego. Just an opinion and a valid point given some of the posts of late.
October 29, 2024 at 10:45 pm #292546To be fair, this is the third game now where we have had a more attacking outlook and decent spells, with today being the best. Granted, Rushall and Farsley are weaker sides at this level and we did lose at Southport, but that was more down to lapses in concentration, which went beyond Butler’s control
Maybe this has shown that Butler does have the capacity to change things. One thing I have been impressed with is seeing the full backs make more forward runs, which was hindering us before, and is a part as to why we’re having more success up front. Maybe it will be a false dawn and Butler won’t succeed, but I don’t think anyone really knows that.
One thing’s for sure, for me, is that a month’s blip shouldn’t mean losing all hope and making certain judgments on the capability of the manager or his ability to change things after a bad spell.

October 29, 2024 at 10:57 pm #292551Ps, how nice was it to come up with a shite goalie for once.
October 30, 2024 at 12:16 am #292554Ain’t it great when we stuff the oppo?
Consistency.
More of the same on Saturday!October 30, 2024 at 2:51 am #292558Cracking result; pleased To see Whitehall increasing his tally and young Fish getting another start and a goal. Just need Carlton on the scoresheet soon and we finally have some options up front where we looked so lacking a few weeks ago.
Have to follow this up with another good performance and win on Saturday now.

October 30, 2024 at 3:30 am #292559We looked way better in midfield. Butler better not move Beestin again. I’d put Brogan ahead of Scales in CM too. Carlton looked a lot sharper. Fish played well again, all in all a good night. Radcliffe are crap as well so can’t see why we won’t turn them over.
Question is if we keep improving against capable teams.

Ubaezuounu had by far his best game for United, last night (although that’s not saying a lot as he hasn’t played much). He was fast and aggressive in intent and, for me, made a real difference up front.

October 30, 2024 at 8:48 am #292566Good post match from Butler, the so called ‘simpleton’.
October 30, 2024 at 8:57 am #292567Good performance (missed it as well!), key is consistency now, need to start picking up away from home, understand we were unlucky at Southport. Hopefully Butler has looked at the stats in terms of trying to settle on a one goal lead and we’re now putting teams away at home, picking up wins away (like KL coming from one down) will be the key in the title race.

October 30, 2024 at 9:12 am #292571Felt a bit sorry for them. They tried to play some decent stuff but we tore them to shreds. Great to see we kept at it until the death and stuck a few more in the onion bag.

October 30, 2024 at 9:16 am #292572Ps, how nice was it to come up with a shite goalie for once.
First time I’ve seen a goalkeeper dressed as a Carnation, his keeping ability and fashion sense were both questionable.
October 30, 2024 at 9:45 am #292576On a side note- another absolute sh1t show been allowed to happen at Farsley with them now playing at Buxton for the foreseeable.
Good interview with a couple of their fans on the Ironhour podcast that goes into more detail.

October 30, 2024 at 9:49 am #292577Yeah, that’s bad. However, have they considered our plight? We’ve hired a CEO.
October 30, 2024 at 10:48 am #292580Still don’t like 3 CBs but what a difference it makes playing the WBs further forward, 2 up top and Beestin in MF. Shows much more attacking intent, is Butler brave enough to try it in away games?

October 30, 2024 at 11:39 am #292581So if he doesn’t he’s not brave? Ffs
October 30, 2024 at 11:46 am #292582Correct. Look to win every game, we won’t but in this league, with the players we have, it’s worth a try. Just a question and my opinion of course, no need for thinly disguised abuse is there?

October 30, 2024 at 11:50 am #292583Has AB discovered the hidden formula which makes the very best of his preferred formation? I do hope so.
Carlton being part of the setup is starting to look positive; Fishburn keeps on improving; Beestin back in CM makes a great deal of sense – Cass making good points.
Am feeling more optimistic than I’ve felt in a good few weeks.2 users thanked author for this post.
October 30, 2024 at 12:04 pm #292584Carlton looked sharp and possibly would have scored but was trying too hard, just needs a goal and he will be fine
October 30, 2024 at 12:05 pm #292585Last season:
24 Oct Spennymoor Town 6 – 0
28 Oct Bishop’s Stortford 6 – 1I actually tipped the 6-1
I might do 6-1 again this Saturday.

October 30, 2024 at 12:21 pm #292587T’other way round for me sadly. I never thought my team scoring would disappoint me but I went 5-0.

October 30, 2024 at 12:44 pm #292588Forgot to mention, I thought their 21 was very good in a poor side.
October 30, 2024 at 12:48 pm #292589To sum up Farsley in one word – lightweight.
October 30, 2024 at 2:09 pm #292591Correct. Look to win every game, we won’t but in this league, with the players we have, it’s worth a try. Just a question and my opinion of course, no need for thinly disguised abuse is there?
Thinly disguised abuse? Nonsense. Merely exasperated how some of you continue to criticise and nitpick even under the best ownership we’ve had for donkeys, top of the league having just won 6-0. Fine to suggest Butler isn’t brave, whinge about appointing a CEO like it’s unheard of by a football club and complain that anyone who shows some exasperation is abusing? Yeah, right.
October 30, 2024 at 2:15 pm #292593Deerey it’s a football forum, they’re designed to give nitpickers a platform. One slight gripe about last night and it is slight. I still think Kelly offers a bit more class to the left hand side and knocks a better ball in than Denton.
I like the look of young Fish upfront too, he needs more game time. I definitely think there’s a player in there.
