Anyone else going today? Pre game hopes/thoughts?
July 30, 2022 at 2:53 pm #241560I would probably have gone if any of these things had happened:
An announcement that the takeover was progressing.
Signing of a forward (or two).
A statement that the first team would be starting the game – this one has happened but 15 minutes before the kick off didn’t leave me with enough time to get there.

July 30, 2022 at 5:03 pm #241573Great result today – I am wondering why Daws has never taken the plunge into first team manager? He has done a fantastic job with the youngsters as shown by their performance this afternoon.
Maybe he is wary of putting his head above the parapet, especially if he has a mortgage to pay but how amazing it would be to take the youth team through to first team success, he obviously knows how to build a great team spiritJuly 30, 2022 at 5:13 pm #241577More questions than answers though now……

Who could blame him?July 30, 2022 at 8:39 pm #241584I would probably have gone if any of these things had happened:

Well it’s progressing. Directors test has been passed and hoping for it to be announced next week.
What more do you require ?
The strikers will come once we have a pot to piss in = New Owners
I can’t see Hill going through the season with one recognized questionable striker.

July 30, 2022 at 8:46 pm #241585Was a fairly average game up until the youngsters came on, they ripped the Farsley team to pieces who had obviously tired but they played fast attacking football and looked like scoring every time they got into the last third, was a nice ground with a bar and outdoor drinking area once you went through the turnstiles and a little food outlet which served better food than we have on offer (not hard I know), and the trains were running which was a bonus and bargain (£8.70 return for me and my lad from Adwick to New Pudsey!) Train was full of Donny fans on way back who were fairly upbeat with a point away at Bradford with 10 men for half the game, overall a good day and Keith has a big headache regarding team selection for next week now I think after the youths performance

Only one thing. Swann gone.
9 years of feck all he has talked about actually happening makes me a little cynical. I do so hope you’re right WG.

July 30, 2022 at 9:27 pm #2415915-1 flattered us they were the better team till we brought 8 subs on at once, then we put them to the sword, Ogle played really well hope he keeps it up our goalie made a howler for their goal but then made some excellent saves, Nuttall can’t be our lead striker just can’t see anything in him all I can see is him getting subd on a regular basis. Charlie’s mum and brother sat in front of us and we’re really proud to tell us that’s my son who just scored. Nice little ground bit tired but better than Sutton’s imo, lots of good banter with Donny fans they were really envious of our previous strikers, learnt that they class us as there biggest rivals bit disappointed when we ranked them our 4th biggest good day out trains really busy.

July 30, 2022 at 9:38 pm #241593Think Tony is happy turning up to work everyday with very little pressure on his shoulders, he and his group of coaches does and has done a very good job for us producing players that can contend for the first team.
Admittedly at the minute the youngsters are getting more chances with the position the club is in but they are showing a good understanding of what is needed to be a professional footballers! And i’am sure three or four have good chance of making it.
