He’s having bank accounts closed down and claims it’s political persecution, I’d wager banks cannot respond legally due to privacy concerns/laws so this idiot can continue to play the victim and his looney followers will love the conspiracy ideas

I have seen others say the same though about their accounts. No love for Farage, but there needs to be a reason for it. I am not going to blindly make suppositions.

The problem is soon it won’t be just Farage that is affected. I suspect with my Christian worldview I will be high on the list.

This incident does feed into bpg’s paranoia though. We can’t have banks close accounts unless there’s sufficient reason given.

Perhaps he liked just the part of my post you’ve decided not to quote, much like I’ve liked lots of posts in the past without necessarily liking the full post.

Which would also be wrong, shame on those that think it’s ok for this to happen to Farage.

Consideration and sense,TW. Both yourself and Sidey have shown principle over partisanship and I for one appreciate that.

uld also be wrong, shame on those that think it’s ok for this to happen to Farage.

To be fair, it looks like The Times have reported it was due to the influx of Russian money. I was uneasy when I had no idea as to why this was happening, but there are good reasons why banks wouldn’t want to touch money (and those using it) like that with a bargepole.

The issue was that there was no reason given initially, but for me this looks like there are some answers being given through investigation and maybe the bank giving answers.

I hope this doesn’t make me seen as partisan in any way; I would say the same for anyone who has Russian money involved, and it my sympathies with Farage are draining now that more information has been made clear.

Principles? On that matter, what are Mr Farage’s principles? In it for the money and notoriety, causing division and hate along the way. Utter scum.

I mean it’s not exactly secret that Farage makes money from Russia. It specifically referenced RT money, and Farage demonstrably had an RT show, or are you going to play silly buggers over that? Also, my opinion isn’t subject to a court of law. I can hold an opinion while realising a court needs to be more stringent.

Farage claims he received appearance money from RT amounting to less than £5,000.

My allegations are of substance, yet you have just confirmed he received Russian money, so that goes that claim. As for the rest, well Farage says it, so it must be true.

“My allegations of substance.” He received under £5,000 for appearing on “Russia Today “. Is it wrong to accept this for his services?
“As the rest, well Farage says it,so it must be true.”
Have you evidence he is lying, about this?
It is just an ad-hom attack on his character that you spout, without any evidence to back it up.
