First Fa trophy game for me on Saturday and many others I’m sure, hope an half decent crowd turn up 1500 or more will be good,
£5000 minimum for winning the game would have scoffed years ago but every penny counts these days.

First ever trophy game for me as well Awaywego.

Even though ticket prices much reduced the fact that season ticket holders have to pay means even a 1500 crowd is a bit of a welcome earner.

A win and a decent couple of home draws in later rounds would be helpful for the new owners.

IMO .. be nice to have a cup run and any prize money most welcome alas i think this fixture has dropped at a bad time it would have been way better to have had another home or away NLN fixture to get 3 points and feed off the reaction from the poor KL showing, trusting JD can get a reaction from the players after such a lackluster performance.

I’ll be at work this weekend so can’t get to the darlo game but I’ll buy a ticket to support the club. I wish I could go as I think it’ll be a good game.
I hope we do well in this trophy. The club are trying to raise money – what better way than to stay in the competition and get extra revenue and prize money. A trip to Wembley would be good next year.

That’s generous of you TJO, and talking of buying tickets mainly Stockport fans bought £2000 worth of Nuneàtons tickets for their last home game (played at a neutral venue) enabling them to fund going to the next 2 away games they are beging the owner of their ground (“their”being loosely) to let them carry on playing there.anyway very good gesture again from the football community, makes their trophy game massive like I say a minimum of £5000 for winning it could help keep them going, I will buy a ticket if they get to play another home game.

Was at Darlington v Chester last Saturday. Darlo mugged them courtesy of a freakish og and a twenty minute purple patch in the first half. Chester battered them in the second and should really have come away with a least a point.

Gowling had them fired up and I left thinking they could do the same to us tomorrow. That was until they got stuffed in midweek.

Just signed Asante who is a big strong lad. We should have enough to beat them at GP, but I’ll be happy to get through narrowly and with no fresh injuries or suspensions ahead of the two home league games.

Finishing as Champions is all that matters this season.

[it looks as if Tamworth will take that designation]

Concentrate on the real task at hand!

Play the kids… oops, we no longer have any!

    Doh!

According to the official Scunny site the next round is not regionalized like last season, what a retrograde step to take, what’s that all about?

Sounds like someone else has got a beef with Hilton.

FA Vase draw tomorrow , a home fixture would be nice though i see Nuneaton won yesterday and a possible tie away against them would stir a few memories.

So it is regionalised afterall – I suppose it makes sense – I’ll just have to wait until the next round for Torquay :)

Good chance to see how our current team stacks up against a team sitting where we would like to be next season.

Unless they have changed their style they will come to attack us so should be a decent game and should draw a healthy crowd.

Certainly will be an opportunity for all to show if they are capable of being at a higher level and that goes for on and off the pitch.

IMO not a great draw , SM are going well in the NL so a tough game and they wont bring many fans to boost the attendance all it will do is act as a bench mark to see currently how good or bad we really are… this has got a draw written all over it at GP so are there replays in this competition or direct to pens ?

Would have liked Oldham at GP
