October 22, 2020 at 1:59 pm #196364What’s the betting Hippolyte is back?
October 22, 2020 at 4:12 pm #196384Bench.
Beestin?
October 22, 2020 at 5:04 pm #196389With Spence suspended, Vincent crocked and a fit, experienced CM still awaited then if Beestin doesn’t start you have to ask why he was signed.
October 22, 2020 at 5:25 pm #196390Maybe it’s finally time to see young Hornshaw in his actual position.
October 22, 2020 at 7:34 pm #196394Call this and Tuesday another couple of write offs look to get minutes into Brown, Howard and maybe Olomola. Maybe a few for McGahey and Clarke on Tuesday.
Start again v Colchester with a back 5 of
Howard
Clarke
McGahey
Onarise
BrownEven if we don’t manage to add the midfielder we so desperately need that back 5 will make such a huge difference.
Add Kev back into that in a few weeks and we might be able to score some goals and not concede.
October 23, 2020 at 6:51 pm #1964655-0 to Exeter, Howard throws 2 into the net in a nightmare debut, Watson sent off from the dugout for daring to impersonate a goalkeeper. In all seriousness I hope we nick a point but I can’t see it happening, particularly as I don’t use i-follow.
October 24, 2020 at 2:10 am #196475Cox already said the experienced players will not get any minutes via Exeter as they have to make sure they won’t break down.
Poor Rowe has been fit for a while now….been in full training and played 90 minutes of a reserve game and he’s still not playing so not sure what’s going on down at GP at the minute.
All seems a little strange. Butroid’s another who’s been fit and been completely frozen out.
Rowe hasn’t even had a game yet and yet somebody has already decided he’s not good enough. If I was him I’d be extremely worried. If you’re not deemed good enough to play in your natural position and are snubbed for a CM who’s been absolute dog mess in playing there, not sure you have much chance.
Awfully unfair for somebody down at GP to deem Rowe not good enough when he’s not even had a chance.
October 24, 2020 at 9:45 am #196478He’s just the latest in a fairly long line WG.
Lewis, Vose, Margetts, Horsfield and Beestin & Mooney might end up on there as well.October 24, 2020 at 10:42 am #196482I said before. Cordner had a spell at Cheltenham looking decent at RB. (Unless he was just there covering the mistakes of others, of course.)
Play 4 – 4 – 2 with Onariase and Bedeau together.
Jai Rowe’s experience is minimal at this level. Cordner has games under his belt. He looked to me quite capable of being an RB.
I know. Potentially another square peg, maybe, but if he were to do a lot more good there than Hornshaw …
As for CM – Hornshaw has recent match experience and his actual area of playing strength now has a vacancy. That said, I’d try Beestin first.
October 24, 2020 at 12:07 pm #1964905 more and Russ out with covid.
That team we are putting out is really bare bones.
Watson, Cordner, Bedeau, Gillead & Eisa presumably the ones.
It’s going to be a rough afternoon.
October 24, 2020 at 12:08 pm #196491That line up lol. That makes sense with people out with covd, I was going to say if it wasn’t for that reason I would have thought somebody at the club would be currently experiencing a mental breakdown.
That means now then were without them for the next 2 weeks ?
October 24, 2020 at 12:28 pm #196492Yeah not sure what the rules are here really. Grimsby got 3 games called off because of one youth player.
We are without our 2 best players and 2 of 3 fit cbs. And we could argue our number one keeper. As well as the full management team.
Seems like grounds for a couple of weeks off to me.
October 24, 2020 at 12:43 pm #196495How on earth is the match still on?
Still. I like cricket and high scoring matches.
On the bright side – this could lull Exeter into a false sense of security.
October 24, 2020 at 12:45 pm #196496Ernie will have insisted it’s played, the sooner we are relegated the sooner he can knock it all down and start building houses.
October 24, 2020 at 12:47 pm #1964976 changes still no place for brown.
October 24, 2020 at 1:02 pm #196500Another weird “work that one out” formation!
One CB? Howard must be good!
October 24, 2020 at 1:02 pm #196501Swann just said Football League rules are you play if you have 13 fit players or a fine and points deduction. Hullberside also said the FL are having an investigation into whether the Cods broke the rules.
October 24, 2020 at 1:22 pm #196502Accrington game off with 8 positives maybe they just have a squad of 20.
October 24, 2020 at 1:29 pm #196503We’ve a squad of 30ish? Named a squad of 16 today, couldn’t four more have just said they needed to “self isolate? “
And what are the rules regarding management cover? Think Josh Lillis was in charge at Barrow the other night. Seems getting a game on is more important than restricting the spread of the virus
October 24, 2020 at 1:38 pm #196505Swann just said Football League rules are you play if you have 13 fit players or a fine and points deduction. Hullberside also said the FL are having an investigation into whether the Cods broke the rules.
If those are the rules then Grimsby definitely broke them.
October 24, 2020 at 1:40 pm #196507Suppose they are assuming that they are young, fit and should recover. Does not necessarily apply to the coaching staff, e.g. Lillis. Situation might change if there are any deaths.
October 24, 2020 at 1:53 pm #196509Well, half time and same old story.
We’ve had an exorcism, now we need a miracle.October 24, 2020 at 2:02 pm #196510WITH OUR DEPLETED TWAM DOWN SOUTH, WE ACTUALLY PLAYED WELL FOR 30 MINUTES UNTIL THE FIRST GOAL WENT IN, AFTER THAT IT IS BACK TO NORMAL AT HLF TIME AND 2-0 DOWN. iT HASN’Y TAKEN LONG FOR THE NEW KEEPER TO MAKE A TERRIBLE HOWLER OF A CROSS BALL, WITH NO ONE NEAR HIM, HE DROPPED THE BALL AND A PLATER RAN IN TO TAP IT INTO THE NET, HE MUST HAVE HD A TRAINING SESSION WITH MUSSA YESTERDAY!!!!!!
October 24, 2020 at 2:07 pm #196511When I said the new keeper would throw a couple in and have a nightmare debut I was only joshing, hope he hasn’t read my post and feels he has to oblige by complying. 😲
October 24, 2020 at 2:14 pm #196512Oxford v Swindon off as well at Swindons request. Since the Elf abdicated all responsibilities last year with Bolton and Macclesfield calling games off willy nilly, now all teams are doing it (except ours) there not going to punish all these teams. About time we did the same.
October 24, 2020 at 2:58 pm #1965145 more and Russ out with covid.
That team we are putting out is really bare bones.
Watson, Cordner, Bedeau, Gillead & Eisa presumably the ones.
It’s going to be a rough afternoon.Could be those but we only had 5 subs. Where were Olomola, Brown, Butroid & Dales?
