Personally I would have all 3 back – 2 playing and 1 coaching.

We still signed players who are not as good as these 2 who were released.

Thompson better than Butroid, Perry better than Hornshaw IMO.

Jury still out on Thompson for me but Lewis did have a number of chances with a number of coaches, none of whom fancied him.

Not sure if Perry is better than Hornshaw because I never saw the lad play in midfield for more than 10 minutes a time. I probably think Pugh is slightly better as a midfielder playing full back than Hornshaw was for us.

When Butroid played he rarely had coverage from anyone on the left.
Perry is getting game time whereas Hornshaw did not in his own position.

If they’re any good they’ll be picked up a year or so down the line.
