If this was someone criticising the Tories for corruption Bucks would point at Labour and say that pointing out hypocrisy is a valid means of arguing against this. Therefore, it must be reasonable to dismiss this by saying we can’t talk, because of corruption within the UK.

For the hard of thinking, this is not my opinion of a good argument against this, nor do I have any inclination to do so.

As much Qatari corruption as EU methinks.

The decision to award them the World Cup was always likely to open a can of worms

That’s just not true, Sidey. What I object to is those on the left claiming they’re morally superior and that Labour would never do anything bad. If you actually look at my comments you’ll see that I quite often agree with the points being made about the Tories — I’ve just done exactly that in the thread about the closing of the mines in the 1980s.

In fairness I have seen you (very rarely) accept the EU isn’t perfect, but I can’t recall any of the usual suspects ever doing so. It’s classic left and remainer mentality. Just blame the Tories and anyone who voted for Brexit for anything and everything.

Someone will probably try to blame Brexit for the corruption somewhere along the line (or the evil Tory scum).

Except you do it every time someone criticises the Tories. It’s always done with a whatabout Labour.

It may be unfair to say you never criticise the Tories, but whenever anyone else does out comes the whataboutism and deflection.

Rubbish. Still harping on about the Left being ‘morally superior’ I see. Bit like that time with the pies! And, no one on here has ever said Labour would never do anything bad. Talk about gaslighting – a perfect example! Is this the dark art of PR at play?

When you say “morally superior “,who’s morals are you using?
Who decides which morals are the correct morals?
If humans decide it has always led to chaos and misery.

I’m wondering who these left-leaning individuals are who tell Bucks they are morally superior to him?

    Anyone any ideas?

What are you saying here bpg? Should we let animals make the decisions? Genuinely baffled. You’ve obviously never met my daft dog.

Indeed, Deerey, nobody on here has EVER said Labour would never do anything bad. You all just keep completely quiet about Labour’s faults.

As for ‘gaslighting’, you clearly have no idea what it actually means and your idea of PR just typifies your total ignorance of what it really involves. It’s actually very funny how you and others go along with stereotypical views as though they reflect reality, though I shouldn’t really be surprised.

Finally, if I had one pound for every comment on here about the evil, nasty Tory scum, etc, etc, etc I could probably retire on a very nice pension. You’re all up to your eyes in moral superiority, so much so that you can’t actually see it.

This is all getting a bit ‘look at yourself in the mirror’. Despite your self-righteousness, you’re no better.

This is why I hate constant dismissals of criticism because ‘the other side does it too’. The truth is that the hypocrisy you point out has been evident with you as well.

As a matter of fact there’s been a fair bit criticism about Labour past and present in the last few months from at least 3 posters. That aside, it’s not a prerequisite that posters should feel compelled to criticise Labour, particularly as they are not the party in power who have caused the country to become a poor basket case over the last 12 years. Bit like Swann this. It’s never their fault. But it absolutely is. In your case Bucks, it’s merely the Tories presiding over net zero and pensions that’s the problem with them. Bonkers.

Not true, Deerey, I’ve complained about many more things around the Tories than net zero and pensions. Then again and I wouldn’t call the fact that massive energy costs — and inflation — have been driven almost entirely by crazy net zero targets, bonkers. Nor that the public sector pension liability runs into trillions.

What is truly bonkers is that you seem to think these are trivial matters, or maybe I’m mistaken and you’ll correct me on that.

And, wow, three posters complaining about Labour.

My mother in law has just spent the last 6 hours waiting for an ambulance,is being told she’ll be sat in an ambulance at the hospital for hours when she arrives ,if she ever gets an ambulance that is . .She’s suffering and in immense pain. Cheers Bucks ,it’s what you voted for ,I bet you’re so proud of your party .No doubt toasting every moment of suffering with a glass of paupers tears, shaken not stirred.
