Against my best judgement I’m breaking my silence on this site over this supposed takeover.
Harking back to the Steve Wharton days, do we all remember how, almost every time criticism built, the “on the back of a fag packet” plans for a new stand, or some such, were trotted out?
It was always smoke and mirrors, intending to distract us from what was really happening, and, for a while, it worked.

Does anyone else get the same feeling about this takeover?

When the Cods were on the verge of their takeover, the identities of the proposed new owners was in the public domain.

Just what IS going on here?
Owt or nowt?

Or are we being conned yet again?

If I am selling my house or my business I don’t have to keep quiet. I can tell people I can advertise it publicly. This takeover don’t smell right.
I just don’t trust him one bit.

The cods were on the verge of a takeover from June 2019 till it happened in May 2021, not an happy time for them, a convicted fraudster trying to get in on the act, Tom Shutes walked away at the last minute leaving the deal up in the air, Happy enough to know “when and if” a deal as gone through on our part. Get back in your box Alcy or at least tell the full story if posting.
