I am not going to say much. All I will say is that I have never been so ashamed to have Labour values in my life before. I am sad and angry. This can never happen again.October 29, 2020 at 11:10 am #196749NorthumbironParticipantOffline

You have a right to be ashamed BRI, but are you surprised given what has come out over the past year or so?
To me this is the key point: –
“Failure to provide adequate training to those handling antisemitism complaints.”
It’s this shrugging off of complaints that causes all equality issues to escalate. Labour needs to take note and act. But then again so do other organisations.
As you say it should never happen again. Whether or not is does remains to be seen.October 29, 2020 at 12:59 pm #196753
It’s not a surprise, but that doesn’t make it all the less disheartening to see what has been judged to be the case.
I hope Starmer’s actions match his good speech, but his answers to the questions were too vague and unclear for my liking. Corbyn is already putting him in a difficult position by releasing his statement half an hour before the conference, rejecting its findings; something Starmer said he would not stand for.October 29, 2020 at 4:33 pm #196761TwoWrightsParticipantOffline

Corbyn proving once again the two most difficult things politicians find almost impossible to say, ” I was wrong ” and “I’m sorry “.October 30, 2020 at 8:16 pm #196804vaderParticipantOffline

Corbyn was not fit to be leader of the party and was probably the biggest factor in the loss at the election, given a decent leader the party was in with a shout.October 31, 2020 at 9:05 am #196810Iron-aweParticipantOffline

Come on, SCG, say what you really mean, instead of hiding behind insinuations to not lose jobs:
Jeremy must be reinstated.

What you really mean is that you agree with Corbyn’s disgraceful response to the EHRC, but you don’t want to echo it because you’d be gone. Cowards.November 15, 2020 at 2:18 pm #197539
Oz Katerji has done a good job on his Corbynism the post-mortem podcast. His last in the series on the release of the EHRC report is fantastic. I definitely agree with his conclusion:
For those who doubt the sincerity of this I urge you to listen to it, especially the comments by Ruth Smeeth, and say that they’re definitely a bunch of lying scoundrels, bearing in mind what the EHRC report actually said.
