Can anyone shed any light on this programme from what was presumably a friendly against East Fife in 1958?
Picture didn’t work, try this:

I’ve got it, it was a friendly and we have played a few Scottish teams in friendlies, I have seen Ayr United and Clydebank
Were just seemingly random one-offs? Seems odd for Scottish clubs to come down mid-season for a friendly game, especially back then.
“Bathgate no more, Linwood no more
Methil no more…….!”

You about to proclaim something NI?
I’m proclaiming I know where East Fife play!
The Ayr Utd friendly was my first match at OSG. Think Ally MacLeod may have been manager?
Five, Forfar four
Their ground is in Methil isn’t it NI, Bayview Park

In the late 50’s and early 60’s we did have scouts in Scotland and we did sign from north of the border. Cannot remember the players name but we signed someone from Campsie Black Watch, and there were others I believe.

Who scouted Perry Cotton?
Would have done better with Dot Cotton.
Perry Cotton the New Zealander, me and a few mates referred to him as Picking Cotton, which we all thought he would have been better at rather than playing football.
Wasn’t the score East Fife four Forfar five?!
