Another score draw at Blyth snatched from the ‘jaws of victory’
Peterborough Sports and Boston United at home.
Alfreton, Blyth, Boston United, Chorley.
All the games above have been drawn from winning positions. Buxton 0-0 away being the other.
That’s twelve points which would have put us two in front of Tamworth.
The worrying thing away at Blyth was taking off Whitehall. We looked dangerous every time we went forward especially once he brought Wilson on.
That danger ended with that particular substitution and hey ho another draw from Blyth’s only real shot of the game.
Sorry Jimmy but your substitutions when taking off the strikers to protect an odd goal margin don’t work. The proof is there please look at the stats.
February 6, 2024 at 11:44 pm #280556I’d have taken off Whitehall before the ref sent him off. The guy’s demeanour and body language was totally wrong.
When he got subbed he had to walk around the pitch and past the Iron fans. Never looked up once to acknowledge the applause. Compare to Dion S-F who applauded back.
Poor attitude.

He’s clueless!
February 7, 2024 at 4:30 pm #280612But we’ve had so many previous managers that have done that. It must be written on the wall in the gaffer’s office!
February 7, 2024 at 5:25 pm #280620The game plan, however boring had eventually worked, 1-0 up a few breaks up field straight into a corner to try and waste time against a plumber who’d grafted all day and then played footy.
That’s plain embarrassing. Why didn’t we go into the corner against Rushall? (We’re a bit more comfortable at home against 9 part timers rather than 11 part timers away from home?). Guess what? It doesn’t work because as every but Dean will see it took 30 seconds from their corner to our goal. It’s been bollocks to watch for a few weeks now. Butler needs to get more involved as he’s the one with league experience.1 user thanked author for this post.

I know it’s a turn of phrase but they’re not all manual workers! Take Clunan at KL for instance. Agree with your point though.
February 7, 2024 at 5:57 pm #280623It was shameless stereotyping I agree.
Some were postmen who worked the morning shift…. Sorry I’ve gone full John Motson.

February 7, 2024 at 6:51 pm #280626Talking of subs, anyone figured out his Elliott sub for Tamworth yet? Head shaker
February 7, 2024 at 7:38 pm #280627Elliot sub is a complete mind bender for me. We had nothing to lose by going 3 at the back and bringing on Whitehall with Elliot and go 3-3-3 after man sent off and goal down.
