Great. A serious food and hospitality professional as opposed to just someone who has a burger-flipping business.

Seen/heard good things about Hull Kr’s catering set up so looking forward to what he can bring.

Kelvin is a lifelong Iron supporter.
Has some amazing plans to bring our clubs catering into the 21st century.

Peter Swann had amazing plans to build a new stadium.

Peter Swann had amazing plans to build a new stadium.

But he wasn’t a lifelong Iron supporter, he was a Leicester supporter.

If he’s one of the brains behind Craven Street, on to a winner.

Silly git, don’t ever again confuse Hull KR (egg chasing barstewards) with Hull City AFC. Rate my takeaway, of YouTube, reviewed Streat (sic) food at HKR and it looked decent fare. That said the food at City is very decent.

Peter Swann had amazing plans to build a new stadium.

I think a difference is that Kelvin has a good reputation for building success in catering at Hull KR, seemingly, while Swann only ever had half-arsed entertainment venues of dubious success at the time of his arrival.

I’m sure they it was probably a shitshow behind the scenes, in business or financial terms, whatever… but the Sands club in Gainsborough was actually good while it lasted – not half-arsed, at least not on the occasions I visited for dinner / dance / cabaret style evenings in a post-Sinatra / wannabe Goodfellas style.

My theory is the relative success of that venue led Swann to overestimate himself and his judgement, and continually bite off more than he actually had the chops to chew.

I went to a couple of jazz gigs there and whilst it was great to have that sort of thing in Gainsborough, I was never that impressed with the venue.

Was it a success? I don’t seem to remember it lasting too long but did he close it to move it to Blackpool, or were they separate things?

He certainly did sorted Ilkestons and Scunthorpes, of course with the help of 2 mere burger flippers Pat and Danny. Reminds me of John 6:1-14

A burger flipper who can’t run a hygienic kitchen.

What is disturbing is that a guy who has been selling food to thousands of football supporters is publicly stating that the kitchens and catering points he’s been using are “not fit for purpose “

The iron Bar is back to its normal shambolic state.

I hope theres feasibility for an extension in the future as it’s never been fit for purpose.

Same with outside the DRE. You’ve got the space for a good little fanzone there to potentially get people down earlier and spend abit of money.

No more disturbing than when the ground capacity was cut to 2000 and yet in the same season we have a crowd of 7200, if the catering outlets cant cook chips its fairly obvious its no longer fit for purpose when it once did, Dannys not saying the problem is any to do with hygiene just the equipment isn’t up to scratch for today’s needs.

No, but the 1 star hygiene rating results from his catering service at the ground.

Of course the guy needs to be derided and sent packing by the self righteous.

Having the audacity to introduce queues at the catering points after 10 years without any.

Does that include Michelle Harness, who was the one who has sent him packing? Maybe because the catering earned a 1 star hygiene rating?

The food may taste nice, but if he gets the club a 1 star hygiene rating, and if the tales of poor kitchen management are true, it’s no surprise that he’s not coming back.

I would hope the club are taking catering back in house so that they can deliver a quality product whilst making the club a profit.

This would surely have been the sensible decision however good, bad or indifferent the outsourced catering had proved to be.

Just because idiot one could never deliver an edible burger or make a profit in his 10 years and idiot two gave it away does not mean it cannot be run properly and profitably.

Kelvin from Hull KR comes with a good reputation. He says he has some ideas. I hope he can do this, while improving food hygiene.
