Guy Ipoua’s debut was a bit special.

Another potential top forward without true consistency.
He could really have been a contender!

I to had those same feelings Classic, but you have more right to comment than myself because you were there mate. I sat and listened to the first half on radio Humberside, and it was that depressing I could have thrown the radio into the garden, but gladly I continued listening, and was over joyed at the second half, and possibly as pleased as yhose that were actually attending, but what is wrong when they just did not turn up for the first half???, they could have been 5-0 down against a part time team that train two times per week, and play at a stadium with a 3,000 capacity (but saying that, at least they do own it). And the other week Scunny were 3-0 up and still managed to lose the game 4-3.

I am really pleased to see the results are getting better, but not so carried away as some supporters, just be reminded that this was Scunthorpe’s first win in nine matches, next week will be a good tester for the team when playing at the bottom team Torquay who lost 6-0 yesterday, lets go and win that one!!!

The only Scunthorpe match I have ever left early was away at Charlton in 2019. We were 0-4 down and I couldn’t watch Lyle Taylor being made to look like Thierry Henry any longer, and knew I could catch a train back to Kings Cross with no Charlton fans on and get home an hour early if I left. I never leave early at GP but was so close yesterday when that halftime whistle blew.
Honestly if I’d gone home at halftime and we’d lost the game, I’m really not sure if I’d ever go back again we really were that bad.
As for why they didn’t turn up in the first half, and and the whole start of the season after Yeovil, I really think Hill was not just statistically our worst manager but he actually was our worst for decades. This team is still 90% Hill’s.

You could be right about Hill being our worst manager but he left us with some half decent players after his summer recruitment and maybe somebody else ( maybe Tony D ) might get them working more consistently.
