What was going on in there last night. From the west stand it looked very toxic all game and as if there was a group of fans insistent on standing against the wall.
In the second half a bottle was thrown onto the pitch
Before the game there was a minor scuffle outside the iron bar
And after the game about 30 youths with hoods and masks giving the police and stewards a hard time around the Costa Coffee and entrance to the retail park

I know things are not good on the pitch but that behaviour and following is unacceptable and is putting me off going more than what’s been served up on the pitch

There has definitely been some unacceptable behaviour this season, but the overzealous stewarding is actually inciting more trouble. The fact stewards are visibly carrying handcuffs does not sit right with me. There were at least two heavies with them last night!

I was also concerned that said heavies had at least two young ladies trying to control the crowd whilst they watched from a distance. I do fear somebody is going to get hurt before the end of the season.

Has the countdown timer to a George Floyd type incident been triggered?

Will we be “taking the knee” for one of our own.

Are these stewards trained? Not only in the use of the handcuffs but also in all relevant law to the threatened and actual physical use of the restraints.

False imprisonment is a serious crime!
The maximum sentence for the offence is life imprisonment.

In these litigious times – compensation would be brought against the club or / and the individual.

Let the police do the policing!

The stewards should be guiding people to their seats, giving directions to the toilets, helping dear old Aunty Betty aged 94 to her seat.

If I was a minimum wage part time steward – I’d be giving you a selective piece of advice on where you can store your handcuffs.

I walked through a group of these youths with hoodies up and wearing masks after the game near Costa Coffee, they were being told to shove off by the police. Thing is most of them only appear to be spotty little herberts barely wet behind the ears, not saying they can’t cause aggro when in a gang but how much is gang bravado and actual intent? If they were confronted in just ones and twos I’m guessing most would scarper back home to Mum.

Who has authorised people to carry these within the ground ?

Yeah they were them! Must’ve walked the same way I did out. As much as I agree they’re all talk it’s still off putting if you’re taking a young family or elderly people

Replace youth with ” moron ” and crew with ” idiot ” and there lies the problem that has plagued our game for years. You can still chant, shout and sing in support for your team without turning into a flare throwing trouble making prat.
