It’s 20 years since they won the conference play off.

Hopefully in 2043 we will be an EFL L1 or L2 club.

Most of us will have moved to our spiritual home by then… but I’m sure that we will be looking down and cheering the mighty iron on!

In the meantime we’re left looking down the leagues!

Police wanted a 1 pm kick off so the Donny fans come for 9 o’clock, well done South Yorkshire and Humbersides finest, perhaps another time, kettle them at Donny and take them to their wetherspoons and let them get here for twelve o’clock, or perhaps just let the game kick off at 3 o’clock.

    Anybody go?

If so, how did we play? Verdicts on the new signings? Any standout performances?

Or are we only talking about the catering points and directors box?

Any comments from those who said we wouldn’t be playing any friendlies at GP?

Callum Roberts came on 2nd half. When he skipped past 3 Donny players are had a cracking shot saved was an eye opener to his undoubted ability.

This fella must of been on the ball with his YTvid upload .. seems very positive re the game , performance intimating Scunny the better side.

** another mention of crap food /service sacre bleu a frozen sausage roll . obviously reading all the cuisine related comments this morning its something that needs to be addressed to maximize match day income… best pie for me was the Hollands meat n potato i sometimes chucked some mushy peas on.

A very good performance from The Iron, we passed a league side off the pitch in spells. If Roberts can stay fit we will have a player that will get bums off seats every time he gets the ball. I thought we looked solid at the back after a shaky start. Kouogun, Denton & Kelly look to be quality signings also. Not keen on Rance and I’m on the fence about Whitehall, on the whole I’m pretty optimistic about the coming season.

Who cares about burgers and onions

We should all care, EVERY revenue stream is crucial to a club our size, especially one with huge mark up potential like food & drink.

There’s a magic money tree by the look of things. Either that or someone is blagging it.

Seen both videos ( Iron Army being the other ) and it’s a case of which team you support colours your opinion on how you see the game. Gareth enjoyed the game and said we played some good stuff at times and Donny had their moments second half after not being great first half. Donny lad was less impressed overall and said it was a nothing sort of game lacking chances and not very entertaining, guess it’s which side of the fence you are but he seemed disappointed with his team but never mentioned us much really. All in all I’m pleased I still don’t do pre season friendlies and as Gareth said, it’s just a pre season friendly.

Dismal! I thought it was reasonable, especially on a wet day. Do you ever see anything in a positive light.?
