Loft must be deluded if he thinks he can move on to better things, he will be hard pressed to get in a Brigg Town side, he won’t play for another league club.

From a good source Keith Hill asked Hippolyte at halftime if he really wanted to play for Scunthorpe United because he did not believe he did given his performance.Looks like the players are in for different week

Said a couple of times Hippolyte looks like someone that plays at being a footballer.

Had 1 good game in about 30 attempts. Well done Keith for spotting this in 35 minutes.

This is not the time to carry posers and passengers.

Bit embarrassing really coming on as a sub and then being subbed, unless he was injured.

One of Cox’s problems was to favour the players he signed although not the first Iron manager to do that.

Not sure if Millen was injured yesterday but interesting that O’Malley and Rowe got the nod at full back by McMahon. Both have struggled for starts under Cox.

Hippolyte also didn’t start and may not be doing in the foreseeable if the snippet from the half time team talk is true. Although it took him time to show it Hackney is the only summer signing to to demonstrate he is any better than players already here and of course he is going back in January.

Still hopeful Scrimshaw will look the part if Hill can organise a bit of quality ball to him.

Thompson is a hard working lad but no better a defender than O’Malley and not as good going forward.

Davis, Kenyon and Millen have had 2 good games between them although injuries have not helpedwith either of them. The so called experienced guys have been underwhelming at best so far.

I hope another 1 or 2 of our own young lads get the chance to shine in Tuesdays otheraise meaningless game (Wilson and Gallimore perhaps).

Dont think Mr Hill will fanny about with those that don’t care e.g. Hippolyte or those that will never be good enough e.g. Green.

People are writing Green off but he showed in spells last season that there is a player in there, it’s just getting him to believe in himself.

Green is quick but never uses his pace at all. All he has to do is knock the ball past his man and run forward. I doubt many would catch him.

If Hill can somehow drum it in to Green to fully utilize his pace to effect games, I still think he could be useful. I wouldn’t class Green as a Hippolyte type player by any means.

Maybe I’m wrong, we’ll have to wait and see.

Green on left and Wilson on the right wing would be pretty positive or bring Thompson in and put O’Malley on the left wing.

We could do with a few new wingers come January…among other players.

Hill will have to do some shrewd wheeling and dealing.

I don’t think Hippolyte was injured either. Hill probably saw what we’ve all seen from him out wide and thought “he’s shite, I’ll try somebody else”

If true about what Hill supposedly said, it will explain why he brought him on and then took him off again.

Must have missed Devarn’s good game last season WG.

Agree he does not have the same problem as Hippolyte. He works hard and I would love to see him succeed.

As Usain Bolt demonstrated in his attempts to be a professional footballer being quick isn’t much use if you can’t pass, cross or shoot.

The fact that 50% of his runs end up with him on his arse looking for a free kick that never comes doesn’t help either.

The frustrating thing for me was seeing how often we gave the ball away with sloppy passing. Hill definitely has his work cut out over the coming weeks ahead.

So did Wilson get a start?
    Any game time?

If not, says it all really.
Let’s just stick with the guys who can’t/won’t, dhy don’t we?

They did get Wilson to warm up late on then realised they had already made 5 substitutions.

Having to sub a sub doesn’t help. Suspect we might see him on Tuesday.

“Loft must be deluded if he thinks he can move on to better things”.

Clubs would have to overlook his poor ball control, his pass completion stats and less than prolific 9 goals in 49 matches before they realise what a great signing he would be.

Said before the season that if he was our main striker we would be doomed.

The team was already pre picked and Hill went with it. I suspect once Hill’s had a look, we’ll be seeing more of him.

I still can’t fathom why Cox wouldn’t play him !

During his tenture seems a few of Cox choices were strange including his reluctance to give Wilson etc a run out .. he obviously had his favourites. Hopefully being more experiences at this level (in general) dont think we will see the same from Hill .. he has a big job on his hands sorting the wheat from the chaff ..or the semi chaff from the chaff, we may not see Hippolyte play for a while if the rumors are correct on Hills thoughts on him.

When and where did Loft say about moving on? Or is it just another rumour started to stir the Bru up for negative posts about him, I mean we’ve never seen it before have we.

Can’t beat a good rumour. Gives us something to talk about when we’ve said all there is to say (many times) about the s*** football and the running of the club.

I am sad enough to read most stuff written about the Iron in the public domain and I have never seen anything (other than on here) that suggests he is leaving.

Love him or hate him as a player he is currently the most likely player we have to score an occasional goal and however well or badly he plays he gives 100% for me.

Stared just the same with Paddy and it built and built, “he wants away” but he never said so,at the time he was just going through a barren patch, anyone who watched the highlights of him in the FA cup would see what a good player he still is even though he didn’t score.

I look forward to seeing him play in any forward-looking setup that Keith can offer us.
(Feels like I know him better now so I’ve dropped the ‘Mr’.)

That would need planning permission NI. Our track record on that one is not good.

Cox did mention that they have had offers for Loft prior to Transfer Window closing ( and just before he broke his face) – one could take from that, that interest is still there from one or two. Time will tell I guess in January we will see what substance there is to it. Cox had many faults but he always spoke openly about stuff like that

Wonder if KDT will get a chance under Hill or if he’s seen enough in training. (If he’s fit of course)

You mean Cox might have had a reason other than he is shite for blanking him?

Would be almost funny if Hill discovered he can play a bit and brought him into the side.

Let’s face it none of us know whether he can play or not.
