Not a single word from the remaining directors to our supporters. They forget we are the Club. Perhaps it is because they are so used to how WHAM has treated us and spoken about us. We have just been a money machine to him and nothing else. We fans have been left in the dark as to the way forward and considering there are several thousand of us we need to know.
Surely the directors knew this was coming, I am guessing this is why vice chairman Keith Waters resigned and now two more have followed him. Why have they not contacted Gainsborough Trinity to agree and confirm arrangements for our home games to be played at their stadium prior to today’s club statement.
To top it all Gainsborough Trinity have issued an official Club statement stating they haven’t even been approached regarding playing our home matches at their stadium after the Brackley game. Do the remaining directors know what they are doing and are they equipped to handle this perilous situation.

You’ve told us often enough how long you’ve supported the club, when has a director gone off piste and issued a statement, it’s not their place to unless given permission from the owner.

We have supported our Club for over sixty years. Also I had the privilege of working there for over 10 years, under Steve Wharton and Don Rowing, so know how well- run out Club was. Everyone pulling in the same direction and the utmost respect given to staff and our supporters valued.
We all loved our work and our Club was very well run from top to bottom. These years were so successful both on and off the pitch. Respect for one another helps breed success.
I have been fortunate to not have worked under Swann or Hilton and the present situation our Club finds itself in, due to these two owners, who in my opinion have proved themselves to be as bad as one another, is purely down to these two.
I find it difficult to describe how I feel right now, a mixture of anger, sadness, despair and desperation.
But still hope that a new owner or consortium of local businessmen may come forward to help our plight, together with our Iron Trust and the local council and North Lincolnshire Council.

The club statement confirmed that the consortium has recently passed on buying.

It is over, and the club is cooked.

Forget the directorys and supporters, we should take a moment to think how the club staff must be feeling right now too. I suspect all will be frantically checking their bank balance tomorrow morning.

Yes I have friends who work there and I imagine they are feeling very worried at this time. Wonder how Jimmy Dean and our players are feeling too.

Absolutely devastated today can’t see a way out of this don’t believe we can complete the season in fact not sure even Buxton game will be played sorry was sucked in to believing this guy would be our saviour. Feel for the players and staff but most of all us the supporters who have put our lives in to our club following home and away never did I think this day would come. I remember a long while ago fans walking to Peterborough to save the club I was part of back up team what a waste of time that was now.
I could go on and on with memories of my time watching our beloved Iron but just want to enjoy them for now and hope that someday our club returns.

If the worst happens it’s been good having the Craic with AWG, 64, Deerey, Sidey and others.

Wasn’t there talk of SUFC being a more sustainable club towards the End of last season?
Hiring a Chequebook Manager, signing a load of well-paid players, we went the other way..

As a season ticket holder I will not put another penny into the club until I am convinced we are going in right direction. After Swanny and Hilton I might take a bit of convincing.

A very spiteful and pathetic post. You just can’t help yourself, can you?

Bit uncalled for. What about the £11m debt Swann ran up?

Did Hilton inherit a £11’000’000+ debt I don’t think so.

I think passed on ‘buying’ may be the key phrase here. People are not going to pay Hilton a fee to take on vast amounts of debt. They may however take it on for free.

I know for sure that the remaining directors are working day and night to find a group that will take on the club, there is a few whispers regarding this starting to circulate which may just save us.

When or if this happens we need a transparent group that put everything on the table and do everything they say, we also need a group that is supporter based to be allow on any future board of directors.
