Appears to have signed for us from Peterborough sports according to an article in the Peterborough Telegraph posted about 3 hours ago with their new manager Michael Gash.
Sounds like we wanted one of their CB’s too but he works full time so is opting to stay with them and play part time.

If any P/T players are brickies, plumbers and the like then they’re unlikely to take a substantial pay cut to go full time with The Iron IMO.

    Wasn’t KVV a pert-time plasterer or something?

6 goals from 30 games this season.
    1 in 5 in NLN
If it drops to 1 in 8 in the NL
Then he’ll bag a couple by the end of the season.

He’s a winger isn’t he? Not an out and out CF.

Him on one side, Wilson on the other could be tasty.

Which leads to the question – will we bring in a replacement for Lavery/Nuttal?

Dean will know we need strikers. All we have are young Fleming and Poulter who are natural strikers. Carver is injured but he’s shite anyway. Wilson can do a job up there but you can tell he’s not a proper striker.

I’d be surprised if at least 2 strikers don’t come in. Hilton said he’s looking to bring in a number of players and that he’ll give it a good go to stay up. Only a complete inept psychopath will come to a club with no natural strikers and not want to sign any.

Ferris is an attack minded out and out winger. Dean likes to play with 2 wingers and width so expect to see Wilson on the other side.

Nelson has been saying for a few weeks that they have a list of potential signings to speak to when the embargo is lifted. It’s likely that the names will be largely unknown to Dean and he’ll need some guidance on who does what. Also, by tomorrow, L1 & L2 clubs (I hope some on the list are from there) will have finalised their squads and know who is surplus to requirements. Strikers HAVE to be on that list.

Strikers HAVE to be on that list

It’s a certainty. Also with Dean trying to bring their best CB here, he obviously see’s that needs bolstering as well. Boyce is solid but Taft makes me nervous at times. Boyce needs a more fleet footed CB next to him as with him and Taft there’s no pace there whatsoever.

Strikers are an absolute must though.

Maybe sign players from a lower league level on perm contract beyond this season who maybe won’t be too bothered at the possibility of dropping back down to that level and maybe sign ex league players on a contract until end of season who may not want to play lower than national league.

Yes possibly, may have to offer some lucrative three month contracts to entice a striker or two to help us retain our status in this division, and some good win bonuses to the other players .just hope they aren’t potential sick notes

Strikers that score goals are at a premium at the best of times, let alone when you are half way through a season and odds on to be relegated from the conference, hence why the only two players we have had this season that were scoring goals have both left.

It will take a masterstroke to get anybody prolific in our current situation but more than happy to proved wrong.

Poulter and Sellars-Fleming up top as a two.
Let them play, adjust, experience. Then when they find the back of net and go on to be the next Hooper, Sharp, Flounders, Daws, Cammack etc; then we can sell them for millions.

Perfect scenario Rene. A huge step towards sustainability if we can get a conveyor belt going again. Got hope for the future on this front

McBurnie – Swansea paid Bradford about half a million, then he went to Sheff Utd for £19M.
A tasty 20% sell on (guessing) from that would have topped Bradford’s coffers up by £3.8M
    Home grown.
    Good business.

I hope not. They are killing the game.
Small Clubs gain no long term benefit.
    Develop your own.
Or, spot and buy (cheap as chips) a rough diamond from lower down the pyramid.

Need a seasoned professional up front, someone who can hold the ball up,and teach the young players some tricks..at the moment we are too lightweight, out muscled by experienced centre halves. Good for the future, but need some help

Nice piece of marketing by the club here. Already probably paid a month of the player’s wages by thinking outside the box a little.

If it wasn’t for loanee’s we’d of been in the National League a long time ago if it wasn’t for a certain Steve MaClean

No Dawson, Lansbury, Cork, Yates, Toney, Keogh we wouldn’t of been graced of their talent!

Our average of stars to total duds has been pretty shocking.
In the middle, of course, we have so often had mediocre signings no better than what we already had.
