Following a request made to the club yesterday, I had a lengthy conversation with David Hilton this morning in an attempt to clear the air following recent events.

I believe that we had a constructive discussion that touched on many points that have been raised in recent weeks.

We agreed that some miscommunication could have been avoided if we had made contact sooner and will be aiming for an amicable working relationship moving forward.

For f sake Brassy, Bru allowed Swanny to join and post a thread what planet are you on, why haven’t you banned yourself because of that, you supposedly stopped going to games because of Swann yet stay on here where he was allowed a voice, how many times did posters on here ask for a statement from him and nothing, at least Hilton tells us stuff, far to much in imo. Guess you were one of those lads who always brought the football when out playing and took it home when you got the hump lol.

Rarely I agree with you awaywego, as you know, but my view is, Hilton / White can post where he likes, though it might be better if he didn’t use social media as much, if at all. All it seems to do is aggravate an already turbulent situation. On the flip side, no one is being forced to stay. Bru membership isn’t a prison sentence, last time I checked 😁

As much as I agree or disagree with any poster on here the beauty of a forum is that anyone can post. PS or DH or anyone can post what ever they want (within the rules). If you or I don’t agree with their comments then you or I can either comment back (as long as the rules are followed) or just not waste time in engaging.

I think we should be grateful that we have this facility and also appreciate the cost (in both time and money) that it takes to keep it up and running. At one point last week I was worried that the Bru would be no more.

Hopefully we can move on from this period with a greater positivity from all.

We can ban posters for swearing or abuse, but we can’t ban the man that most people believe ruined the club that was about to go under! The last manager of our department which he helped close down because he hadn’t got a clue kept trying to join a friends of that department Facebook group but he will never be allowed to he’s not wanted, ps not on the group myself.

We can ban anyone, I’d hope we’d not ban anyone because people don’t like them. This is not be the vl Facebook group, they dictate what people post.

Jeez, my daily gleg at the Facebook group never ceases to amaze me. Some guy asked this reasonable question and is met with a load of flak. Unbelievable! Sorry, I just don’t get the mentality of some over there. There are some reasonable and sensible posters but they’re a small minority…
