Got a glossy newsletter through the door from our Tory MP Guy Opperman.

Lots of photo opportunities showing him in a hi-vis vest stood with workers who had done the jobs, mostly organised by parish or county councillors or even independent groups but there he was sticking his grinning face in front as though he’d done it all himself.

Then the next day I learned that his/our constituency was amongst the worst in the country for deprecation in real earnings.

Funny how that didn’t crop up in the newsletter!

Oh, and his expenses claim would pay off the Iron’s tax bill with bucket loads left over!
