York city couldn’t (wouldn’t) pay there staff fully this month, their trust stepped in and helped out with 50.000 pounds last month and now have helped out to the tune of 145.000 pounds, takeover falling through fans expecting a twelve point deduction before the start of next season. Not a good place don’t we know.

thats sad, good their trust can help out to that level – they must have some activities on the go.

If anyone is on Twitter, I suggest following Kieran Maguire- the bloke who uncovered Swann’s gambling shenanigans.

Nearly every club’s accounts make for sorry reading; off the top of my head I think Woking lost £1million last year alone. Today, Oxford released accounts showing a 4million loss in in 21/22 with overall debt £20million.

The independent regulator needs some teeth or else there will be many clubs ending up in our scenario, if not worse.

Kieran Maguire’s a good follow normally posting things backed up by facts -Mr Hilton got a little prickly with him a few weeks ago when a questioned a couple of things about the supporter / ground scheme and the players allegedly being paid late last month .

Used to really like him, he said. Think Swann used to like Jeff Stelling before he crossed him

BBC York commentators spent a fair chunk of their time bemoaning what was happening at the club when we played them. Sounded very uncertain
