Dec has netted 9 times already this season.
Will he surpass last seasons tally?September 29, 2024 at 9:06 pm #291369Only 1 division below so a possibility. A former acad player now at Liversedge – Jack Dyche, tough battler and can finish and thought it was a silly release at that time.

October 2, 2024 at 7:23 am #291429Cox would describe Dec’s goal as ‘being brave’
Howe & Butroid the goal scorers.
October 2, 2024 at 7:32 am #291430A couple more for Dec in the 2-2 draw at Ilkeston:
October 2, 2024 at 7:41 am #291431Dec scored a Messi-esque third for Gainsborough in their 3-1 win over Morpeth:
October 2, 2024 at 8:16 am #291433‘Messi-esque’ doesn’t fit the profile Rene. We’re more likely to sign a big clogger or a couple more centre half’s so we can really shore up V Oxford with 9 defenders and Whitehall up top.
October 2, 2024 at 9:25 am #291439Sad doesn’t quite cut it 414 but your getting closer to it.

October 2, 2024 at 9:31 am #291440Don’t recall Declan Howe has ever been on our books?
October 2, 2024 at 12:46 pm #291451His older brother Callum was with us as a schoolboy, apprentice & pro.
Dec wasn’t offered an Apprenticeship… strangely enough.October 2, 2024 at 1:10 pm #291452Trinity would want a fee, who is going to pay it, and he did start at Scunthorpe as a junior

Kettering 0-2 Gainsborough
I’m surprised a league club aren’t taking a chance on him.
October 15, 2024 at 8:29 pm #291955Scored after 2 minutes tonight in the FA cup replay at Boston… maybe he could do a job for us

I think that’s his (Dec’s) 12th goal of the season.
Butroid has got 6 from midfield.1 user thanked author for this post.

October 15, 2024 at 9:12 pm #291961Boston 0-3 Gainsborough
Dec gets his second goal of the evening.
His 13th of the season!1 user thanked author for this post.
October 16, 2024 at 9:37 am #291974Think you’re onto something here, Rene. Certainly worth a closer look

October 16, 2024 at 1:18 pm #29199141 goals in 51 games
28 (2023-24) + 13 (2024-25) = 41 goals in 51 games for Trinity for Declan Howe!
Let’s be having him!
October 16, 2024 at 1:38 pm #291998Worth a punt though anyone at the moment would be worth a punt.
Not played for our first team so passes my no ex scunny criteria.October 16, 2024 at 2:21 pm #2920022 nice finishes for Howe, lovely follow in on the near post for Butroids goal and then a nice cross into the box for the 4th.
Certainly nice pass and go football. Well done Russ Wilcox.

It seems that they are playing some nice free flowing football that’s effective & productive.
The best of luck in the First Round Russ.October 16, 2024 at 3:14 pm #292005… playing some nice free flowing football that’s effective & productive …
No. Sorry Rene I don’t understand.1 user thanked author for this post.
October 17, 2024 at 3:10 am #292037Im buying into your Dec Howe idea by the game Rene , he appears to be just the kind of striker we need as its all a bit predictable n stale at the mo (Roberts aside).. seems to know where the goal is and as another bruite mentioned a ” fox in the box ” is desperately needed ASAP… still leaves the midfield to sort with the addition of a big growler as its all a bit twinkle toes, fairy cake and pansy potter in there nowadays.
Lots of activity at the AAGP with dinners, forums tours alas its all quiet on the signings front maybe LT busy with his up coming Lee n Lawsy gig writing the script.
Im predicting in the Chester pre match interviews
Chester are a tough well organized side
The players have trained well
Worked hard, its been a good week in training
The players have taken on board what we are trying to do.ALL above sound bites will be ran out again.

October 17, 2024 at 6:15 pm #292055I agree with everything that’s been said on this Forum about this young man, but I’m afraid you have more chance of seeing a pig flying over The Attis Arena than see this young man play there for Scunthorpe United. All the usual excuses for not signing him will be trotted out or there will be complete silence on the matter. An NL or a League 2 club will take a punt and 5 years from now he will be banging them in at a much higher level. And we will be left with what might have beens.
