No money in the playoffs each team get only 25% of the revenue and even then its after costs of the home team putting the game on.

That seems an odd set up for the playoffs. Why only 25% of revenue? (Presumably you mean ticket sales not match day revenue?) so if our home match generated, say £60k of ticket money we only get £15k? It’s 25% of the revenue after costs? So with policing and other match costs it could be break even at best? Not heard this before

Similar in the Football League play-offs, I believe, there is a sizeable share with the rest of the league. And similar to the FA Cup where there’s something like a 40-40-20 split between each team & a central pot.

Must be linked to gate receipts only though? If in playoffs we would probably make up 95% of attendance at home and 40-50% away (depending on opponent/ allocation etc). if I were Scunny I would be doing tickets for a fiver but you’ve got to buy a monthly lottery ticket!

We will stumble in to the play-offs if Jimbob remains in charge… but, we won’t win them.

Don’t need a comma after but Rene, keep your standards up mate.

There’s a protracted pause after the ‘but’… the comma was used to try and express that.

I think most people have accepted the fact that Tamworth will be Champions.
A lot of people are now fearful of our chances of promotion through the play-offs. Is it currently a 50:50 split?
I think that Jimbob will be here until the end of the season.
I hope that he isn’t given a contract extension.
    Torpey for manager?
    Harsley for manager?
    Butler for manager?
    Butterfield for player manager?
Expenditure needs to be less than income.
Ambition requires tethering to the ledger and balance sheet.
I’d rather have a tent on terra firma than an air castle.

You could start a new trend in English writing, how about (pp) after the but?

Ellipsis replaced with a comma. That should square things up?

    Gold star?

In cup ties, the clubs have to agree on the admission prices. You sometimes see smaller clubs going to a Premier League side in the FA Cup and fans being charge big money because the small club wants to maximise their earnings and won’t agree to, say, £10 admission.

I’d love to see Torps as manager, with an experienced assistant. Definitely not Butterfield as player manager though. As long as he is able to play, he should remain a player. The Iron are too keen on sacking managers. Don’t want them sacking our manager and best player in one fell swoop!

I thought you had flounced, you were on another social media platform claiming we were all idiots and you would never use this forum again.
    You’re a strange one.

Interesting read on Andy Holt’s Twitter account from the last couple of days with regards to the finance of football clubs.

Without external funding, I can’t see a way into the EFL for us for a very long time.

While still possible it is STILL possible. Do I think JD can do it – no and haven’t been convinced from day 1. I think Hilton knew exactly why he hired him.

Contract is up end of this season so wouldn’t cost a lot to pay off. Dean’s been found out and as a result we’ve gone completely stale.

I’ve tried to be as supportive to Dean as possible since the takeover by Michelle Harness and Co, but after last night – he is done.
In my opinion he has lost the dressing room after not being present at the Brackley away game. I can’t see how they can continue with him in charge, whether it’s Butler or someone else they can find to help, someone else needs to be in charge of that team.
And as Awaywego said in the other thread – bin those bad luck Hilton designed Hull/Grimsby/crop top away kits !

National League is a good standard and should become EFL 3.
    4 up to L2.
4 down to the new National League.
