One of our fans supposedly read a tweet by the Yeovil owner which stated they missed out on signing Rance because we offered him £1,500k a week and a 10k bonus if we stayed up.
The thread which contained the post has since been deleted but he came across as genuine. I hope he’s a bullshit artist because if that’s true, it doesn’t fill me with hope for our next recruitment drive.
Why send Whitehouse out on loan and sign him for that amount ?. I’m not entirely sure he even came 100% fit. That extended option on him needs binning A.S.A.P
April 11, 2023 at 2:17 am #259735They all want binning on recent showing .. Rance has been crap , twas alucky escape for Yeovil as he injured now and seems he was when he arrived WTF !!
i dont get the Whitehouse move to Chester hes getting MOTM there and the fans love him he has a bit of fight n passion sadly lacking in the shirkers he left behind at GP…but JD wouldnt use him and went with the uninterested loan signings over him which is shocking.
April 11, 2023 at 10:06 am #259754Chester fans already loving Whitehouse. Don’t be surprised if they want him on a permanent. They are in with a good chance of going up via the playoffs and he has the experience they’ll need.
He’ll certainly be somewhere he feels wanted and appreciated. How many of our squad could say that?
April 11, 2023 at 10:09 am #259756I saw it. It was swiftly deleted.
I don’t know what’s worse. The fact we are supposedly paying him £1.5k a week or the fact he was injured when he arrived. Amateur hour.April 11, 2023 at 10:19 am #259759Not like we have a habit of signing crocks is it? Oh…hang on.
April 11, 2023 at 11:51 am #259773Must be true if it was on Twatter.
April 11, 2023 at 12:42 pm #259777Contents of the Tweet may or may not be true. It was Yeovil’s owner who posted then deleted it, fact. Why he deleted it is unknown.
April 11, 2023 at 1:04 pm #259779Read the tweet from the chairman and needless to say it was very blunt and to the point about Marc cooper Yeovil’s manager, the owner has got some big decisions at that club as much as we have.

I don’t know what’s worse. The fact we are supposedly paying him £1.5k a week or the fact he was injured when he arrived. Amateur hour.I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read this
“Rancey’s struggling, he had an injury when he came in and we both thought it had cleared up but it hadn’t and it has affected his performances. Subsequently, that affects our performances and it’s unfortunate that it hasn’t gone.
“He’s going to see a specialist tomorrow and he might be involved here and there for a few minutes but I think it’s unlikely now, to be honest”
Isn’t that what medicals are for ?
April 11, 2023 at 3:37 pm #259787We seem to move from one incompetent decision maker to another.
£1500 a week is a ridiculous wage and yet our new owner infers we wasted money, this does not improve the situation does it ?
April 11, 2023 at 3:41 pm #259789More worrying is the fact he came here carrying an injury. I’d like to know if he had or a medical or not and if he didn’t have a thorough medical, I want to know why not ?
This is sheer lunacy.
April 11, 2023 at 3:45 pm #259791We don’t know if he’s on 1500 a week, it’s a rumour yeah?
April 11, 2023 at 4:26 pm #259795But we do know he was signed injured, unbelievable Jeff!!

April 11, 2023 at 5:27 pm #259796I can understand some supporters thinking Hilton / Dean have received, in their eyes, unfair levels of criticism in general, but signing injured players that are supposed to be quick fixes is poor by any stretch of the imagination.

April 11, 2023 at 5:56 pm #259797Regardless if it’s true or not, it’s still a ridiculous signing at this stage of the season, especially coming off the back of a 4-1 win.
Shock, horror we then send Whitehouse out on loan who is tearing it up at Chester

April 12, 2023 at 2:21 am #259812Lucky escape for Yeovil .. whatever salary hes on taking him without realizing he was injured is sheer folly …oh BTW Rance has been crap from what ive seen.
One for the bin .. in fact all except 3 or 4 should be binned off immediately.
April 12, 2023 at 5:58 am #259814I’d like to know if he had or a medical or not and if he didn’t have a thorough medical, I want to know why not ?
Yeah I’m sure the first thing that goes through Mr Hiltons mind when he’s making decisions is “I better check with Burney first and make sure he’s ok with it”
April 12, 2023 at 11:12 am #259825We won 4 – 1, played reasonably well. What did Jimmy Dean do? He brought in two new midfielders, Rance already carrying an injury apparently and Thomson a youngster learning his trade and in my opinion not as good as Whitehouse. He also dropped Butterfield who was starting to control the midfield with Shrimpton by his side. Now we can’t even score a goal, not in five matches. I hope Whitehouse comes back but not sure if he is just on loan or not. No.wonder the players aren’t playing for him. He is a totally clueless manager. You only need to listen to him on the radio to know that. I can’t make head nor tail of what he says. He should be gone.

April 12, 2023 at 12:56 pm #259833Agree with everything above NLI apart the last sentence. Not posting what I think on the matter of staying or going. Firstly, not sure it makes a difference and secondly, I run the risk of being accused of creating division. Suppose that’s pretty clear what I think.
April 12, 2023 at 1:50 pm #259837Reads like your being divisive DM 😂
