Just been reading the message on Scunny Facebook page from a Derby County fan. They’re offering to come and support us on 28th January and demonstrate and march trying to save our beloved Scunthorpe United on 28th January. That would be great. He is suggesting that it would be good to have many other club’s fans here too.
So many other Clubs fans are coming out and supporting us on social media which is great.
Then we have the Iron Trust who silence is deafening!!!!!!

    Link?

It would be good if they could. One thing about football is that it can unite. Too often it spills into tribalism, but it’s been good to see sympathy from so many fans of other clubs towards our plight. I know most won’t do much, but it’s good all the same.

One thing I have been thinking of as a good idea is a fans united thing with Southend on our last home game of the season, provided we last that long. Both clubs struggling with bad owners, I know their fans are sympathetic from social media and their forum. It would be great if there is a mutual demonstration against Martin and Swann. It might not make much difference, but it could get publicity for both clubs’ struggles and it is an opportunity for comradeship with fellow fans of an unfashionable club.

Siderite—–surely you are not suggesting that SUFC will still be in existance at the end of the season, how do you think that the Tax situation will be sorted out, and who is going to pay the monthly wage bill????. No pal, Swann will close the club as soon as possible so that he can get some more money.

Unless the club is sold to someone that has the clubs interest at heart, it will not survive, and the interest seems to be flagging as far as the Elliot and Sharp deal is concerned, it has gone really quiet, and if they are struggling to find the sum of £3 million, they also are dreaming if they intend to opeerate a professional football club.

If Sewann did not hold a vendetor against the Scunny fans, things would have a chance, but he has to have someone to blame for his total disater of driving our club out of existance, it was the contractor for the New Stadium failure, it was the NLCC for the second Stadium and the 160 flats, I do not know who was to blame for the £20 million refurbishment of GP, but ha blames the fans for all our relegations and money loss, ho and his final one of blaming the Boolies for him picking the wrong horses that he lost his millions on!!! Sadly there is no answer to the clubs present situation, I hope that protests continue, but there are not enough supporters that are backing them.

Sounds similar to a Fans United Day. I attended the one years ago for Wrexham when they played Donny at home. Fans from scores of clubs attended, including some from Scotland.

Fans United began with Brighton in the last 90s, I think? Not sure there’s that much solidarity among fans these days.

Maybe not amongst our own fans, but certainly from others that we have met this year and other years while traveling especially Donny fans.

Well guys, IU am sorry to say but my posting of 3 hours ago has come true, I said that Elliott and Shart did not look as though they had the money, and interest seemed to be flagging, I am really sad but it has now come true, and that evil little fat gobbed prat has further advanced his aim of SUFC liquidation.

Prediction is that news will soon filter through that players wages aere not available and the end is very close.

So you so called fans that booed the lads for Saturdays pitch protest can feel a bit of shame, as all you were doing was giving your support to Swann and Turnbull and in a way the Iron-Trust who’s backbone seems to be missing, they would probably be able to then run a large food bank at GP.

It really makes me sick how one little fat excuse for a man has taken away the pleasure of 5 or 6 thousands of people, may he rot in hell!!!!!

    Bury here we come!!!!

If Swann doesn’t accept the final Hardy bid the season will be over because this month’s wages won’t be paid.

    Supposition?
    Gut feeling?
    Or fact?

If he accepts a bid from him, the club could be over anyway. Maybe just a matter of time.

Guys…Never ever give up…for 10 months it looked honestly like we were going to be liquidated as our debts were far higher than the value of the club, (approx £60m)…we had many false dawns and near misses with potential new crooked owners from the USA, Spain ETC…in the end it took a local business man and fanatical Derby fan who ignored commercial sense, bought the stadium from our previous owner and then did a deal with the administrators for the carcass of the club, (who themselves seem to be on a gravy train)…this was all in the eleventh hour! We had already started planning a Phoenix club! I know you will all feel helpless at the moment…look at organising a march to the ground before a game, have a fan day and invite other supporters to this…possibly on the next international break…post on the Forum boards of Derby, Wigan, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Portsmouth all friendly and supportive clubs who have been through the same thing. Create go fund me pages, (if you haven’t already)…Contact local MP’s…some Derby fans created an online petition for all fans to sign so that the plight of Derby was discussed in Parliament…Contact high profile ex-players like Kevin Keegan / Ian Botham and ask them to raise your plight and to get it onto Talksport, local news ETC. Good luck guys and if you do organise a fan-day then I will do my best to come along.

Well done Derby fans, thanks for the support, it’s easy to support the big clubs but only true footy fans know what it’s like at the sharp end.UTI.

I am happy to say that my eldest lad lives in Derby, he is a Derby fan and also a long term Scunny fan, he came over from Derby on Saterday to visit me after his Friday night shift and then went back to Dewrby after enjoying the match, I used to take all three of my sons when Scunny played at thew Old Show Ground many years ago ha ha!

    Thanks again.
