Hypocrite ,apologising to promote a TV show and book. Watching him squirm and snivel on The Jason lee podcast was funny .

I thought the podcast was good, but none of Baddiel’s hypocrisy takes away from the message he was saying about anti-Semitism. This hasn’t just been said by Baddiel, and there’s a lot of hypocrisy on the left who have made it clear how much they have disdain for Jews.

At least Baddiel made an apology. Ash Sarkar, Bastani and co will continue to bask in their own bigotry.

Just watched it. Thought it was an interesting and important discussion. Not remotely funny though in my opinion. I could understand how a person may find it funny if they dislike Baddiel, which seems hypocritical in itself. Plenty of right wingers on social media using it as an opportunity to double down on Baddiel. Not sure how jumping on that band wagon is progressive. Why would anyone who is interested in equality use it as an opportunity to beat Baddiel with, rather than simply understanding the issue being discussed and learning from it?

I had no issue with Baddiel until now , I just think the timing of this apology is cynical and that makes it feel like a politician’s apology.
Why is it hypocritcal of someone to dislike Baddiel ? I don’t understand your reasoning there.Genuine question, I just don’t see it
As for siderite he cannot help to try make out lefties are antisemites ,his blairite pals even convince him a lifelong anti racism campaigner is an antisemite, he keeps saying he is on here to hammer it home .Ps what is it you say? “whataboutery”

lol, yeah. A lifelong anti-racism campaigner (I presume Corbyn) who pals with those who say Jews drink the blood of Christian children, says he has valuable things to say without questioning such speak, lays wreaths for terrorists involved with killing Jews, fights to keep up murals of crude Jewish caricatures, says Jews don’t get British irony and turned a blind eye to the stuff which permeated Labour during his time. That doesn’t seem very anti-racist to me.

I don’t need my ‘Blairite pals’ to tell me anything. My opinion was not formed on what anyone else said or did. Just Corbyn’s own actions and words. Same with many leftists. You only have to go on some leftist spaces to see what a sewer it is, as Baddiel and many others pointed out. I don’t need my ‘Blairite pals’ to tell me stuff like face huggers with the star of David around the statue of Liberty’s face is anti-Semitic. Yet such stuff, and worse, are commonly found in some leftist quarters.

I didn’t say it was hypocritical to dislike Baddiel, I said I find it hypocritical for someone to find that footage funny because they dislike him. He apologised publicly on Jason Lee’s podcast. He spent a fair amount of time doing that, he didn’t just bob in and out. For someone who supposedly believes in justice and equality I find it hypocritical that you’ve gone out your way to say you found his ‘squirm and snivel’, funny. Seems a very clear reaction for someone who before this had no issue with Baddiel.
