Att: 3555February 23, 2025 at 9:06 am #299336sounds like another team who will sit in frustrate us and try and nick one Match preview, AB interview #1 “we’ve had them watched, hard working team with a threat. The lads have been briefed, we will aim to nullify their threat (of an ave of 1 goal/game scored). Why not take a risk perhaps start at pace on the front foot and keep it going for, oh i don’t know 90 mins!! A league with no dominant team and we haven’t stepped up.
February 23, 2025 at 9:25 am #299337Darlo in decent form
Expect them to come and be defensive n try to do us on the break..therefore i think no Fitz clean sheet this time and they will score 1 or 2…. HOWEVER IF ..thats if AB decides to change things up front and go for it we will score 3 so im going for an arse nipping 3-2 win in front of 3,268Sadly more than likely AB wont change things until just after half time as that seems to be his blue print recently.

February 23, 2025 at 12:25 pm #299343As we’ve said all season… there’s no consistency in this league.
Bench Beck.

Bench Beck.
Can’t see Beck being benched against his former team, it often throws up a goal or a good performance when playing against old associates, best you can hope for Rene is him being subbed, even you will hope he does well if he starts, surely?
February 23, 2025 at 2:01 pm #299351Of course I do… but he ain’t delivering! He’s had many chances and can’t get going.
February 23, 2025 at 3:11 pm #299353interesting watching Newcastle. Didn’t get put off from a fast start or change approach even after going a goal behind. And when they take the lead none of this settle down, take the sting out the game rubbish.
Nope keep on on going forward while you are on top.February 23, 2025 at 3:54 pm #299354interesting watching Newcastle. Didn’t get put off from a fast start or change approach even after going a goal behind. And when they take the lead none of this settle down, take the sting out the game rubbish.
Nope keep on on going forward while you are on top. It’s not over yet…….
February 23, 2025 at 3:56 pm #299355Newcastle revert to AB approach to taking the lead!!
February 24, 2025 at 10:54 am #299376If we are to persist with Beck then the formation has to be tweaked. I don’t think it will do us any harm to give Beestin a run out next to him.
Darlo looked a tidy outfit in large spells when we play them away, Be surprised if they come in and sit in. Will Hatfield usually impresses for them in the middle also
February 24, 2025 at 12:53 pm #299382Looking forward to another good game between 2 decent teams.
We should be backed by a half decent following on a cold February night a week before payday. Estimating a few hundred Darlo making the trip.

February 25, 2025 at 9:21 am #299409I’m really looking forward to tonight’s match. I think we could (should) see a focused Iron, acutely aware of ‘the Whitehall problem’ and determined to show that the squad has strength in depth and that they can really do something without him. However, equally, they may be in headless chicken mode and spend an hour or so pumping balls up to Beck and just expecting something to happen, without really having worked out how to make it happen around him.
February 25, 2025 at 9:44 am #299411New Year’s Day 2005. Iron 0, Darlo 1. Butler red carded.
We finished that season as Champions and I think the only two home games we lost were Darlo and Chester.
We’d lost 0-1 the previous season too when we hung on to our league status by the skin of our teeth.
Deja vu tonight methinks!
February 25, 2025 at 9:54 am #299412We finished 2nd that season. Hope that isn’t an omen then.
We also lost 0-1 the two seasons before that, when we then lost to Lincoln in the playoffs.
February 25, 2025 at 2:23 pm #299416I hope we’re not that bad but Saturday was awful more than happy to be proved wrong
February 25, 2025 at 6:56 pm #299420Wreh and Beck start. ‘Let’s be ‘avin you!!!’
February 25, 2025 at 8:38 pm #299423Excellent first half. Solid at the back and creating lots of goal scoring opportunities. Great movement and some fine passes. Hope Alfie gets his hatrick – deserves it. Loved the layoff by Wreh for the first and Clunan’s vision and pin point pass for the second was a joy to behold. Cracking stuff.

February 25, 2025 at 10:20 pm #299431Fast attacking football at times and some good passages of play.
A 3rd goal would have just rounded it off.Well done

February 25, 2025 at 10:24 pm #299433Just nice to see us totally control the second half without getting out of second gear.
February 25, 2025 at 10:35 pm #299438February 25, 2025 at 10:38 pm #299440Really entertaining at times and agree everyone had a decent game, liked Wreh thought him and Beck did ok for first time out up top as a pair and Beestin along with Evans were superb. Good display from Clunan his best for awhile and fair play to Darlo, they came and had a go which made the game very open at times. Roberts was pretty quiet by his standards but again some of his touches on the ball are outstanding at times, he just thinks quicker than any other player on the pitch. All in all an enjoyable evening and result, well played guys.

February 25, 2025 at 10:39 pm #299441Bloody hell never seen so many of us on the same page as we are tonight lol.
February 25, 2025 at 10:49 pm #299442When the team delivers in the way we want them to and know they can Awaywego it makes more of us sing from the same song sheet. Just hope AB embraces the way we played tonight for the rest of the season because playing like we did tonight on a regular basis will upset every team we play now till then, it will unsettle them and get them thinking and as much as I want Whitehall fit ASAP it shows tonight we are more than capable with him missing.
