Due to the more positive outlook for SUFC and now covid seems to have moved on im planning a trip home with my son .. he visited Glanford park once when he was 3 years old … hes 24 this October, as well as seeing my daughter and meeting grand kids for the first time im also gonna take in as many of my haunts as possible in Scunny and surrounding area and into the Isle of Axholme .. Epworth was also a regular place for a few as had family there… worried about the cost of everything its 20 years since i was there.. ONE LAST VISIT FOR OLD TIMES SAKE.

Anyway back to the footy .. is this Elliot any good , anymore news.

2 penalties and 2 against conference north opposition though. Hardly on fire at Gateshead but hopefully he’ll be better than what we’ve had previously.

Russ went onto run The Crown at Messingham, cracking bloke, his Brother is Peter Fox, ex Stoke keeper.

Small world – Peter Fox played in goal in the same U-18 team as me for half a season until his school found out and stopped him playing for us. He was only just 15 at the time and was pretty dammed good already.

I remember Peter Fox from school and he was clearly a great ‘keeper even then. He ran into some issues at Stoke over allegations against him for bullying apprentices, which I believe were dismissed at the time, but then re-opened. I remember him being very quiet and he seemed a decent lad. I hope the allegations weren’t true, but who knows.

An excellent addition , He was unreal for Boston!!! and rightly earned a shot in the national league after Boston missed out in the play off final to York.
Well done to the chairman for getting this done with a fee paid.

Positive signing got to love a chairman who delivers just noticed a keeper as well.
Hopefully we get enough points to keep us up which ever way it looks like we’re going to give it a proper go.

Peter Fox was in the year below me at school. My Dad was games teacher at Westcliffe Juniors, got his teams to many finals. He always said Peter Fox was the best under 11 he ever saw in all his years watching junior football.

Was out of contract in June so got something rather than nothing.

Did well at Gateshead while on loan – 7 games and scored 5 goals.
