Swann or Hilton, who comes out on top?
Answer is Swann, as both will be gone in the not too distant future!

Has swann got the minerals or has hilton found a loophole. No way he is handing over the money so unless there is a loophole I think the gates will be locked.

Never dull for Iron fans these days.

    Except on matchdays of course.

I suppose all you can hope for is some clarity this week , my biggest fear for you is no news or some sort of holding statement that kicks the can down the road ; Ifs,buts and maybes are not good enough now and you deserve better from all parties .

The new ground pic on the Fishy made me laugh. Can’t blame them for taking the pish a bit.

I know I saw that , i think even most of them recognise it’s gone too far now though – lets be honest most of us have mates who are Iron fans and even though you always want to be above your rivals to give them a bit of banter no one wants to see any sort of threat to the existence of the club .

No doubt certain lawyers workload will go into overdrive today.
Interesting couple of days to come.

Does Facebook have a Football Stadium Landlords group?
We may have to join in order to receive communications from Mr Swann?

Deadline presumably arrives at midnight and almost certain to go down to the wire. No news until tomorrow surely?
Plenty of rumours from those “in the know” expected.

If Simon Elliott has confirmed that the money is indeed available – then the decision not to use it to be screwed does make sense.
    Two possible possibilities:
    1) Negotiating tactic to cut the price or
    2) Negotiating tactic to get the ‘dangerous ransom strips’ issue legally covered
    so future disaster is averted.

Has Simon confirmed the money is available? I thought Hilton said he’d shown him proof of funds and he’d accepted it? A technicality, but possibly an important one. Didn’t Hilton show Swann and Begbie’s proof of funds too?

I believe the temporary lease & exclusivity period between Cool Silk and DH ends today, but I think it’ll be a quiet day at the office. It remains to be seen how effective the steps taken by DH are with regards to SUFC staying at GP. I do think there’s a good chance it is going to get very messy, very quickly.

With regards to proof of funds, Hilton showed this to Begbies. They must have confirmed to Swann he had the funds in place to be able to complete the full deal.

Has anyone been falsely accused on Twiiter or Facebook of claiming we were getting booted out of GP today? Surely got to happen before the day is over.

I think people are making their own minds up now, the club have been out there in the last two weeks with their side of the story along with the other parties who have another side.

Just wondering, I can’t think Swann would be so stupid to sell the club to Hilton for £3 without putting in a proviso that it’s only legit if the ground , car park and training ground are paid for by may 24th, Mmmmm.

    D Day plus one.

Will there be an announcement today?

How about running a sweepstake on the date when one is made?

I’ll go with Thursday 1st June.

A better sweepstake would be “whose solicitors put the notice on the gates?”

The random capitalisation and wording suggest to me that it’s not a solicitor’s notice but I could be wrong.

A friend of ours took over the lease of a shop unit. Got into all sorts of problems involving the previous tenants and the landlord.

A notice was pinned to the door of the shop (still with stock in situ) the wording of which was virtually identical to the sign up at GP.

So if it is someone playing silly buggers they’ve done their research!

Had a look and last year’s fixtures were released on July 6th. Surely the league need to have the ground situation wrapped up by the end up June to confirm we are able to participate next year?

I can’t see Hilton’s sign on the gates reassuring many

The note would make sense if Swann .as landlord ,had done it. IT just read wrongly for a tenant to put it in my mind, .It reminds me of those conspiracy nutters who find a piece of legislation online they think suits their purpose, all that it’s missing is “do your research”

I see the Twitter burner accounts are operative again. Here’s the latest one (using the identity of an Iron supporter) responding to a sympathetic Bury fan, and appearing like a poor version of Jason Williamson from Sleaford Mods…

This Tyler Mallinson should be able to be tracked down, checking Facebook usually a good start.
