Or lack of it, seems like it will just be released by the fa at 1 o’clock tomorrow, hoping for Cleethorpes away, expecting some right northern team again away, though I do think any away game BBC will televise it if they’ve been following the non league scene.
September 3, 2023 at 11:56 am #270996Gainsborough if they win their replay. Swann derby…

September 3, 2023 at 2:02 pm #271002Is at all clubs are in the one hat or is it at this point on a regional basis ?
Cribbs FC are lurking.
This is one of the EGO’s final claim to fame – Peter Swann got us to our lowest level of entry to the FA CUP, must be a proud day for him !!!

September 4, 2023 at 1:16 pm #271042Home to Brackley, a non plus from me, so much for the announcement at 1pm to everyone.
September 4, 2023 at 1:23 pm #271043So in the North region at the time of the draw the number 1 rated team will play the number 2 rated team.
Unless there is a more romantic tie the BBC should be showing this on the Red Button

September 4, 2023 at 1:39 pm #271045It says something when I had no idea Brackley are even in our league. No idea where the town even is but sounds like it’s down south?
September 4, 2023 at 2:05 pm #271047Not a very good draw for us, Brackley Town are top of our league and undefeated after seven games, I thought that it would have been in the Southern sewction, and is situated 31 miles north of Oxford and 30 miles south west of Northampton, we could have had a lot better draw, but at least we are playing at GP.
September 4, 2023 at 2:11 pm #271048I guess both teams were placed in the Midlands section. Which I take umbridge to as a proud northern lad. :-)

September 4, 2023 at 2:49 pm #271049That’s right Siderite my son just told me, we were the furthest north and Brackley furthest south in the midlands grouping. Why do we always get the crappiest draws, anyone know about the different regions before now?
September 4, 2023 at 2:51 pm #271050Great opportunity for some Iron scallywags to get cultured learning how to Morris Dance.
September 4, 2023 at 5:53 pm #271056So much potential and we end up with one of worst draws possible.

We’ve never been at this level before now!
An FA Cup draw used to be something you got excited about around Bonfire Night!

September 4, 2023 at 6:26 pm #271064If we are going to win the FA Cup this year we may as well start off with a difficult game 🤣🤣🤣

September 4, 2023 at 6:38 pm #271066Would been a lot of excitement if we’d drawn Cleggy or Lincoln away just missed Cleggy by one ball.
September 4, 2023 at 9:36 pm #271072Brackley is in Northamptonshire not far from silverstone motor circuit.
September 5, 2023 at 2:33 pm #271097We have played at this stage of the competition several times before, the most recent being in 1947 against Norton Woodseats.
I have a very minor claim to fame around this time. In 1945 we lost at home to Yorkshire Amateurs in the 4th qualifying round – the week before my Dad played in the App. Frod. team that beat YA in the league. Yorkshire Amateurs went on to play Lincoln City in the first round proper becoming one of the few teams to have won an FA Cup match but still be knocked out in the same round. It was the only time the ties were played over two legs, YA won the first leg 1-0 but lost the return at Lincoln 5-1.

Is that excitement or excrement Awaywego, never sure with you sometimes?😂
