Topics: 80How much have we raised so far?
January 15, 2023 at 9:16 am #252817I note that a village cricket team raised their plight about being unable to play at their facility due to some neighbours complaining about cricket balls. They raised awareness through Ben Stokes, Michael Vaughn and raised enough to procure some nets £35k I believe. It can be done – the Trust need to agree with Elliot and Sharp how we do this, stadium naming right, purchase of stadium itself. Must be several avenues we can explore

We could always borrow one of those “Church Roof Appeal” target boards.
Maybe Rev Wright can help?January 16, 2023 at 2:10 pm #252977If we are believing the £3.5m + £1 quote then it’s hardly an extortionate amount.

If the unthinkable happens – we’ve not raised a dime yet.
Phoenix clubs cost money too.
💰💰💰January 19, 2023 at 4:13 pm #253344Not just the money. Take a look at how split Bury fans are on agreeing the how, what and where of a phoenix club. But then at least Iron fans are a good example of unity, so should be a doddle…

January 19, 2023 at 6:13 pm #253366You’re better off following a local non league side if you want to continue watching live football.
No chance a phoenix club will gain momentum in this town

You saying that if it goes; it’s gone for good?
No chance of a new Scunthorpe. United FC?
Spot the dot.January 19, 2023 at 6:29 pm #253371Think you’re right there Cliff. Probably end up with 2 or 3 splinter clubs to add to App Frod and Bottesford.

I’m aware of these. Doncaster Rovers replaced them in the league.

January 19, 2023 at 11:42 pm #253430My granddad and uncle both played for Brigg Town!
For me I guess the nearest in claret and blue is South Sheilds. Though Dunston UTS is closer.
