I hope Swann’s doing something behind the scenes because he can’t stay here after that effort against Harrogate…surely not !

The poor football and focus on the manager is taking the heat off the diddlydonk in charge.

The same diddlydonk who is deliberately running our club (yes its ours again apparently) into the proverbial.

Is that the bloke who on the last podcast said we weren’t being hammered every week?

    Well I’d say 3-0, 4-1 & 6-1 were hammerings, wouldn’t you?

He won’t jump without a pay off which means we won’t ever get to the truth, as usual.

Should we exit the League with one of our own in charge our club would be more of a laughing stock than it is aleady.

The players are running around like headless chickens and cannot do the basics and I mean the real basics like defence, midfield and attack.

That is down to the manager and coaches.

No I wouldn’t Ferrite and I don’t blame him, just pointing out that the big wheel keeps on turning.

There are so many reasons not to be a football fan nowadays.

Cox is sat outside the boardroom waiting for Swann to finish his 8 hour conference call with Bucks.

Does the club still need a conference room when all the board members live in the same house?

Cox isn’t going anywhere YET, PS said in his interviews last week he would give it another five games then see where we were.
Well two games have gone and I expect after the next three we will be well adrift with another minus 10 added to the goal difference, and be almost a lost cause.

Almost? I’m not sure our cause can get much more lost.

It amazes me that Cox is still here and that people are using a “he’s a nice bloke” defence to argue for keeping him. He had no management pedigree to begin with and has proven that he is not up to the job. Yes he has been dealt a bad hand and we can’t expect him to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear but neither did we expect him to make it into a mouldy pork scratching. He is as under qualified for the role as Peter Swann is to run our club.
And it’s the last statement that will make the sacking futile anyway. All of the evidence demonstrates that Mr Swann and his board do not have the collective competence required to make the right hiring decisions to run a successful football club. If he had the self-awareness and humilty to accept that then he would not assume the “expert” role for the next appointment. I can’t see that happening and I’m expecting another “nice bloke” duffer who will work for peanuts to come in.

If Cox does go I hope he takes Rory Watson with him, even though he’s playing ok this season he is a bit of a Jonah last 2 seasons played 28 games conceded 60. Maybe not fair but stats good enough for me to bin.

That, and the players being crap!

Swann has actually hired some very good managers, it’s just a shame the usual suspects were more bothered about their personalities than whether they could actually do a good job.

Hopefully the shareholders who get chance to go to the meetings can give him the recipe to ensure we never struggle in the league again.

It’s a shame the good ones wouldn’t do what the boss told them.

Mind you we eventually got that does do what the boss tells him and that’s working out spectacularly well.

The last good one we had seems to be doing rather well down the road.

Forgot to point out the irony in the suggestion that managers over the last 8 years have been sacked because some fans moaned about them.

Show me one piece of evidence that the current ownership has ever given a flying feck what fans think about anything.

Swann has actually hired some very good managers, it’s just a shame they’ve been very good at clubs other than Scunthorpe United!

    (Alexander + Lucetti apart)

Swann has actually hired some very good managers.
Unfortunately it was him who sacked them.
Maybe that’s the problem they wanted to go up the league when he wanted to go down

Swann has actually hired some very good managers,

He’s also fired some very good managers. Alexander and Hurst to note.

I like Hurst when he was here, we we’re a bit dodgy at the back but we’re starting to look great going forward as he was getting a real song out of Gillead, Eisa and Mcatee.

Old Swannster moved the transfer policy goalposts, Hurst kicked off and was pretty much forced out.

Swann did back track though shortly after signing, Brown and Howard for experience on free transfers.

What an absolute idiot this man is !

That they weren’t allowed to manage as they would have liked. Could be why they’ve been successful elsewhere maybe?

Robins is the perfect example. It had been rumoured that a Swannster had been sticking his nose in.

Bit strange how he’s gone to Coventry, worked absolute wonders and now sit top end of championship.

I’m fully aware what a rumour is, thank you. I never said it was fact, did I ?

    Does make you wonder though.

Neil is too nice a man to be considered for the sack, I would also think that Lillis and Mussa are a laugh a minute type of guys, but the problem is that they have not got a bloody clue between them as our club sprint into non league football.

And there is a reason why they remain in charge, no “charge” is the wrong word, it should have read in these management positions, I have had the feeling that our club is being driven at full speed into liquidation, and the only reason I can deduct that is because the newly obtained land package will be worth a lot of money if it is approved for building a housing site.

Very sad, but as a sacking manager boss, Swann is sticking with this bloody shower after winning ONE MATCH IN THE PAST 24 GAMES THESE CLOWNS HAVE SUPPOSEDLY BEEN INCHARGE OF, and he even speakes well of the guy, why supporters keep turning up is beyond me, if I can pack up after 71 long years supporting them, why are fans still encouraging Swann and his business in turning our club into extinction.

Gate money from 2,000 remaining fans will not keep the club in operation, but with these fans still turning out, it acts as a smoke screen over what Swann is actually doing, and things will just continue along the present lines until we change places with Grimsby at the end of the season.

Here you go again uptheiron blaming anyone other than the person who is solely to blame, SWANN. Yes he has hired managers and fired them, and then they have progressed and been ALLOWED to manage other teams and been successful too. That’s because they’ve been allowed to manage, choose their own players and have a voice. Look what happened to Paul Hurst he spoke out on the radio and said he hadn’t been given what had been promised when he came to SUFC. So SWANN sacked him.The team had just started playing much better, but that didn’t matter to SWANN did it.

Cox is nt going anywhere for one reason and that’s because Swann has no money to pay him off or employ a new Manager.
Cox will be here until the end of the Season
