It sou ded like they were sent videos to watch and didn’t AND it wasn’t the first time it’s happened, seems they didn’t know club can see if they looked at them.

Excellent a manager who is honest and decent.
Just confirms what we all know or suspect about the playing squad.
One small point why did the coaching staff trust the players to do the work when some had prevoiusly not bothered?
And why not question them as individuals to find out if they had indeed watched the video and understood what they were meant to be learning?

Sounds like a complete and utter shambles on and off the field.
Seems like some players take no notice of what he wants !
Showed his lack of experience by being interviewed whilst still angry.
Don’t think after this outburst it will improve things as most of them won’t be here next season anyway.I thought it was a brilliant interview; refreshingly honest and confirms what most of us know.
They players in general aren’t good enough and every time he tries to give them some freedom we get punished, hence the defensive/counter attacking football.
A few of them are in for a rude awakening when contracts expire.

The Karacan interview was very informative. Defended the manager but did question our recruitment that the delivered the majority of what arrived.
That simply are not good enough, although Cox wanted Hippolyte !! Noses need putting out of joint – it isn’t too late.

Are there signs that he is learning?

Well done Neil but a lot of people had realised this well before Christmas!
” went on to slam his players for what he perceived as them being “unprofessional” and “naïve”. – correct.
“When we get to the final third, we’ve been poor” – correct again.
“They don’t know what they’re doing” – right again.
““I don’t think they’re good enough at times to be honest. That’s probably the big thing.” – No argument there.
But just when you think he’s finally getting to grips with the situation he gets delusional again:-“We’ve done really well this year by sitting in and playing counter-attacking football” – WHAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!

the club needs building around Jem he certainly cares, it’s OK taking the cheap option at the start of a season but it might cost more in January to get away from the bottom than getting a decent team to start with, just need a smaller squad to get costs down.

Completely agree Mick, definition of a false economy.
I’d have Karacan as the captain for next season, he’s had a huge impact on the team since his arrival.

Daz – I thought the same, I can only imagine he felt it was the last straw after a series of setbacks and he realises he no longer needs to rely on the players he considers to be a problem?
