May 9, 2022 at 3:49 pm #237057At the fans forum last week a question was asked about the satisfied charge notification filed a couple of weeks ago and whether that loan had been replaced by any other loan. Leanne Mayo stated, and confirmed in the notes of the meeting published by the club, that it was a paper exercise to tidy up a loose end that should have been done at the time of the ground transfer and that no other loans were taken out on the ground.
Given that the paperwork is dated 29 April 2022, why did the chief exec publicly state on 5 May 2022 that no further loans had subsequently been taken out against the ground??????

May 9, 2022 at 4:59 pm #237063Maybe she didn’t know?
It’s a Coolsilk asset now, not SUFCs, so she may not have been informed.
That would have involved courtesy, common decency etc.

May 9, 2022 at 6:12 pm #237075Indeed, I suspect she didn’t, but that would mean a business owner sent his CEO to a meeting without updating her with the facts!!!!

May 9, 2022 at 6:19 pm #237078An astute businessman wouldn’t do that.

May 9, 2022 at 6:52 pm #237086Is this the action of someone who is serious about selling the club?

May 9, 2022 at 7:46 pm #237096So does this mean that if Coolsilk go under the club would be renting the ground off the administrator or any new owner could buy it back for a pittance?
May 9, 2022 at 10:31 pm #237118I am sure it’s a perfectly normal business practice and we have no need to worry. After all it’s not as though this astute businessman has spectacularly mismanaged the finances of the club or has spent millions building a hotel that is still to open?

May 9, 2022 at 10:31 pm #237119Must need some money but goes against all that was said at forum and also doesn’t make it attractive for potential buyers. There is only one winner from the demise of SUFC.
He could sell SUFC and tell prospective buyers they will have to find a new ground
It will hardly get people rushing to buy season tickets.

May 9, 2022 at 10:50 pm #237120You can search Companies House for the lender which appears to be, Property Funding 2 Limited. I am no expert but on paper it does not scream source of funding! They’ve been a company less than two years and never filed accounts.
May 9, 2022 at 11:15 pm #237121What happened to the Swann statement about five or six months ago regarding giving back the ground as soon as when he leaves the club, does this now mean that SUFC are stuck with this guy?
The club has turned out to be the laughing stock of the once member of the football league, they have been drained of everything, fans do not want me to name this list once again, but the way SUFC has been missmanaged and milked of everything and nothing has ever come to light throughout this miserable period, where supporters have been drained of any entertainment, enjoyment and the clubs assets have even been signed over to the guys own company, leaving our fans with non-league football, no decent players, no assets and no money, and we have a drained club that is owned by a guy that has not enough interest or neck, to even turn up to watch the sad results of his ownership management. What’s your thoughts UpTheIron99 ?????????????????The latest issue is now that Northampton have lodged a complaint to the football league over the selection of seven or eight youth players being turned out last Saturday, in a game that certainly cost Northampton automatic promotion, when will it ever end?? Sadly it will probably be sooner than a lot of supporters or ex supporters think.

May 9, 2022 at 11:22 pm #237122No they haven’t (see other threads)!
Anyway making three changes from the previous week is hardly weakening the team.
Man City do it every game!

May 11, 2022 at 9:46 am #237224Yes I was the person asking the question at the fans forum and asked for clarification twice. Original charge settled 27th April . Mortgage taken out with Glanford Park and surrounding land as security on 29thApril. Coincidence?
Leanne Mayo possibly did not have knowledge of this. But a,aging it did not appear as a public record until after the fans meeting. -
