Contracts for contacts or clear evidence of corruption?
It’s taken just 12 months for Boris Johnson to create a government of sleaze
August 8, 2020 at 5:54 pm #193151It’s what the people voted for. They love it!
August 8, 2020 at 6:29 pm #193155Cronyism and corruption must be the will of the people, therefore anyone arguing against it is anti-democratic traitors.
August 8, 2020 at 7:49 pm #193158God created the earth and everything on it in six days.
Boris is clearly a slacker!
August 9, 2020 at 11:10 am #19316715 billion “wasted” or redistributed as rewards for their friends. God (Boris) bless the novice ferry men, face mask wide boys, peddlers of mis-information and friends of Cummings, Truss, Gove and Johnson.
Unlimited rewards for the chancers and F all for the nurses. Wake up people of Hartlepool, Wakefield and Scunthorpe!
What the F is wrong with you people.
Is a £10 voucher for an unhealthy meal and a £50 hand out to get the dodgy brakes on your bike fixed ALL that it takes to reward your misplaced support?
August 9, 2020 at 2:43 pm #193169And this-worst slump out of the G7. Just a rubbish thieving government:
August 20, 2020 at 4:25 pm #193655More and more details are emerging of untendered contracts being awarded to mates of Johnson, Gove and Cummings.
£49 million to a dormant company, with total assets of £100 for face masks. Obviously the company had never made face masks before. This is one of many giveaways of OUR MONEY.
Time for the Fraud Squad to be called in and corruption investigations started.
Far fetched? Couldn’t happen here? Well good news in from the USA!
Steve Bannon arrested and charged with fraud over border wall campaign
August 20, 2020 at 6:01 pm #193660Aye, tbh that’s a good news story! Win win 😂😂😂
August 20, 2020 at 6:30 pm #193663August 20, 2020 at 6:32 pm #193665Even the Daily Mail are finally on to them!
August 20, 2020 at 6:34 pm #193666Where’s chief of slip slidin’ anyway? On holiday like his pal Boris probably!
August 20, 2020 at 7:57 pm #193680Here’s another one. £560k for vision, purpose and narrative?
By a very strange coincidence it appears that Dido used to work for McKinsey!
August 20, 2020 at 8:41 pm #193687Johnson is simply using his tenure to make himself and his pals money, then he’ll clear off. In the meantime Cummings deals with the arse over tit policies. The rest are mere puppets hovering around like Salem’s Lot vampires waiting to get a piece of the action
August 21, 2020 at 11:16 am #193728Okay, this is from HuffPost but it follows on nicely from the previous comments: –

August 21, 2020 at 1:51 pm #193745Extract from the article NI posted above.
“A government spokesperson said proper due diligence was carried out for all contracts and collaborations with the commercial sector had strengthened the pandemic response”.
No it wasn’t. Prove it then. They will have no problems allowing the police to investigate will they?
Had a long debate last night with a lifelong Tory supporting relative. He also works for the police. He agrees with us, this looks like corruption and/or gross misuse of public money.
Come on Starmer. Clever probing questions will only get you so far.
Now is the time to get stuck into them 100% and demand a legal enquiry!!! They are getting increasingly vulnerable and many Tory MPs are not happy with Johnson, his useless ministers and his bully boy cronies.
August 21, 2020 at 5:40 pm #193761Another £200m pissed down the unaccountable Government drain to their outsourcing mates!!
Come on Starmer, where are you??
Outsourced firms miss 46% of Covid test contacts in England’s worst-hit areas
August 21, 2020 at 9:38 pm #193767Maybe he’s mindful of that telephone conversation recording of Boris and his mate discussing what to do about someone troublesome to him?
August 23, 2020 at 10:35 am #193787Good to read that some action is being taken, but the Labour leadership needs to step up and get stuck in. People in this country will not support corruption, waste of public money and the handing out of billions to “mates”.
Cross-party MPs to sue UK government for details of Covid PPE contracts
August 23, 2020 at 11:59 am #193792I agree Heath. Perhaps Starmer is wary of being accused of ‘not being helpful in a pandemic’?
September 8, 2020 at 4:09 pm #194460Good news and some progress. Don’t stop here Fraud Squad, keep up the good work and investigate ALL of the Government contracts dished out for Covid.
